Sheepish
I have inherited an old Tornado Brushless ESC (PM30A NV2). It works fine but it’s in a glider and I need to set the brake on it. I have no programming card that works (I’ve tried several including a Turnigy one). I can get it into programming mode by the usual method of plugging the battery in with the throttle at full power but I don’t know what order the beeps it gives me are in so I have no idea which one is for the brake setting. I have tried to change a setting but without knowing which is which it’s not helpful. Does anyone have an old manual or know the sequence for this controller that they could share which would give me a clue please?
Simon Chaddock
Tornado is trade name for Overlander. If you go the Overlander web site, select ESC and then select the current 30A version a manual can be down loaded. In it is a detailed explanation of the process of selecting the brake 'on'. Note the difference in the meaning between beeps and musical tones. The brake is the first of the nine selectable options. I could be wrong but I would not expect the programming sequence to have changed. This is a screen shot of the "brake on" example. Once the brake is set you can disconnect the battery it will be automatically saved. I hope this helps
Sheepish
Thanks for the help Simon, I didn’t know that Overlander used Tornado as a trade name. I’ll go and take a look at that and hopefully make some sense of all the beeps.
