Ron Gray
Just over 4 weeks to go now!
Futura57
I'd like to bring my Strange Quark Mk2 EDF prototype with vectored thrust (not Laser powered 🤣). I'm currently painting it, then I need to install the radio and maiden it. I have a two week holiday to Italy in the interim and have to spend a couple of days preparing my drive way for a 10 tonne delivery of MOT type 1 sub base which I have to level and compact. And I have to take my wife shopping today. The clock is ticking. 😱
Ron Gray
I look forward to seeing it, certainly qualifies for a bit of BoB. 1 hour ago, Futura57 said: The clock is ticking It certainly is and quite a few bits on my list too.
Ron Gray
3 weeks to go. Unfortunately due to a slight issue with its 200 in-line twin, the Hurricane won’t be making the journey!

Chris Walby
Good news! The Tigercat had test and a public flight at the LMA's Much Marcle event last weekend. Needless to say the Bearcat, Hellcat and P47 had some hard chasing to keep up with the big cat! 🙂 The Cub will be along once the wonky wheel is fixed.

Ron Gray
Here at Bucko for the scale Nats. A bit breezy but really nice and the best thing is that a lot of the pilots have said they will be coming to the Lazy BoB weekend in a couple of weeks!

Ron Gray
Chatting to some of the guys today and I was asked if single channel models would also be allowed to fly. The simple answer is yes and slots will be allocated to those guys. Another question was do we have to bring a plane to be part of this event, absolutely no, in fact we want spectators, the more the better. And just to reiterate, you do not need an A to fly.
Lipo Man
Hoping to be there with my Warbird Replicas FW190. I’ll bring my scratch built (and sketchy!) Bearcat too just for giggles.
Ron Gray
Great stuff LM, it's going to be a fun celebration of all things British and your sketchy Bearcat is the epitome of that.
Chris Walby
Just thought I would check the van for Best of British 😉 Tigercat - check Acrowot - check Dual Ace - check (its got Lasers in it!) WR FW190 - check P38 - check...its electric and does not qualify so I'll fly it early/later in the day! Static display - check but what is it ? 🤣 Cub - that can go in the trailer with the camping kit!
Nick Somerville
Weather permitting I shall haul myself to Buckminster for the Friday afternoon and Saturday morning. Models accompanying me will be the Stampe (Laser 180) & Sea Fury (Laser 360v). Unfortunately the Fw 190 will have to stay in the hangar as it doesn’t have a Laser engine and it certainly isn’t British.
Ron Gray
Are you British Nick?

richard dalgleish
I see the wind forecast is for NW 15mph for this Friday, does Buckminster have a NW facing runway, only I've never been. Thanks

Thanks The main runway is roughly ENE-WSW, but there's a secondary running NWN-SES, and the whole thing is massive. You'd need to be flying something VERY big, and need a VERY long strip to not make use of it in any wind direction.
