Good morning Pete and welcome from me too.

If you join a club they frequently have a club trainer with linked transmitters, a so-called buddy box system, which you could use to learn the basics of r/c flight before transitioning on to your Ranger.

Feel free to post up a photograph or two to let us see what you were flying.

Very encouraging to hear that things went successfully for you on your first outing. Maybe you are a natural ...... just don't drop your guard and I think its a great idea that you are taking the club route. They will be able to assess your ability and maybe design some kind of programme for you with some set objectives to take you towards officially flying solo ....... and your A cert.

They will also be able to get you thinking of the basics in the theoretical side of things with a view towards what you need to know on regulations and article 16 etc. .... an absolute must if you are to fly safe ...... and legally.

Great start and best of luck going forwards.

@smithy8 that's good!

How heavy is you 'land sea air plane'? If it's above 249g, you MUST have an Operator ID from the CAA for you to be able to fly legally......... irrespective of where you fly.

Re totos comment around an A Cert..... the BMFA have a voluntary achievement scheme.  Some clubs stipulate you must hold a certificate of a certain level (A) to be able to fly solo at their location.  The A Cert shows you have a basic level of competence, safety, and understanding of your aircraft.  Again, check out the BMFA website.

The retailers state a 22.5v 4000mah - 5000 mah 45C.

What battery are you using ?

Check the retailer where you bought the model. ..... I think you are dealing with the devil here. Be careful.

Wrong technique?

At the bottom of the text box where you type is a "Drag files here..." message.

Click on choose files, go to the picture you want on your system and it should appear underneath the text box.

Just complete message in the normal way.

Do observe the maximum size though - 48MB

Throttle on Spektrum receivers is channel 1. The order is Throttle, Aileron, Elevator, Rudder, Gear, Aux1 (Flaps). Be aware that some receivers have Bind/Battery as the first line of pins.
