Graff
Hi all, I have problem with my Saito Fg33r3. It worked last year flawlessly. This year it has been all problems without me altering anything.... It is began to be hard to start, and when running it is prone to stopping when I give it some throttle. It also lost rpm after some time and stopped.... It doesn't matter how I adjust the needle. It's like it doesn't get enough petrol. I have checked the ignition timing and it's correct, the carburetor is checked and it's clean and all membranes are good. The valves are checked. I don't get it...... What can it be?
Jason Channing
The first I'd check for is can you richen the engine fairly dramatically, If not then their may well be some blockage, take the see saw, spring and pin out carefully then carefully wind the mixture needle's in fully and then remove them then clean and flush the carb , this normally works to dislodge any dirt id any is present. John Rickett 102
Presumably you are using fresh E5 petrol? A flush of the carb with an aerosol carb cleaner won't do it any harm.
David Ovenden
Could it be a faulty electronic ignition unit?
Jesus Cardin
I am rather sure your problem is the plugs. Such small spark plugs and so high fuel oil content tend to oil contaminate the plugs and spark intensity gets lower or even you completely loose some firings. As you have already checked everything else, remove all three sparks and leave for one hour or so submerged in clean gas or even Contact Cleaner or WD-40 and then clean the electrode with an old hard-medium toothbrush. Install and try again and if some cylinder still misfires or stay cool, it is better to replace all three plugs for new ones.
