How did you manage to get those lovely smooth curves on the fuselage? I12fly. I just followed the video above, and sort of Papermachie the cowl and canopy to smooth over the lines.....just bit of newspaper dippe din white Pva glue. What's your power setup? Daren, The set up came via george at 4max. Seem to remember it was on of his 2834 outrunnermotors, I chose this option as being able to run 4s or 3s depending on the prop fitted. Its flown with the 4S set up and only draws 39Amps. Think the prop is a 10X7. He thought the FT motor quoted was a bit under powered, so we went for the upgrade.

It is advertised at 15 sheets for £125 which is about £8. 30 per sheet. You got me all excited saying that Elite Models stock Maker Board but unfortunately it seems the same as other UK stocks I have found over the last few years - just the 8mm stuff. As far as I can see the 5mm stuff disappeared from the UK about 5 years ago but 8mm stuff has been really available. The Flite Test models use the 5mm board. They do list 5mm board, as do several other stores but always 'out of stock'
Eric Robson
That's a shame Nigel, it was good to work with, less chance of splitting than foamboard. 8mm is too thick for sheeting or much else.

Daren Cogdon
I was debating whether to use the Hobbycraft foam board, or the sheets of blue 5mm XPS that I have lying around.

Eric Robson
Leeds model shop, have it in stock in various thickness, it is cheaper than the Pitchler EPP they stock. It's something I would like to see before buying, the 3mm may be OK to sheet wings, down side is its only 300mm wide

Anyone know whether it is easy to remove the paper covering or how light it is? Nigel, I use an Iron (clothes one, not a film covering iron) on a low temp, and it softens the adhesive. Then you can gently pull away the paper. Colin
Eric Robson
Looking at the leeds ms Pitchler foam it may not gave paper on as it states it is smoother than Depron.
