richard dalgleish
Hi Chris I think the post code is wrong in the opening post, the one shown is for a housing estate in Belper (unless you've moved the airfield)😀 I will try and come along this year, weather permitting. Richard Yes, you're right. Our postcode is DE56 and we're near Belper. Not sure what the postcode is for the airfield but access is from a new roundabout on the A52 SE of Ashbourne (towards Derby) and not from Ladyhole Lane (about 0.5 miles nearer to Derby) as formerly. john stones 1 - Moderator
Put correct code on so we can change it.
John Lee
Would this be it?
Geoff S
Yes, that's it. Our flying site is just to the north of this picture, just beyond the end of the SE/NW runway that runs from Ladyhole Lane. It's all a bit more finished than this shows.
George P.
The post code is: DE6 1LS
Chris poyser
Oops sorry here’s the description for the new one from club committee The address of the new gate is: Harrison Way, Ashbourne. DE6 1LS. This is situated just off the A52 between Derby and Ashbourne. If you're coming from Derby, there is a roundabout shortly after the Ladyhole Lane turn off to the right. Take the second exit (to the right) from the roundabout onto Harrison Way. There are a number of 'dead end' turn offs until you will find the double gate on your right. If coming from Ashbourne, you need to follow the A52 to Derby and take the first exit left on the roundabout onto Harrison Way. Cheers, hope this helps Edited September 1 by Chris poyser Spelling
George P.
SAT NAV WARNING I have discovered that, travelling from the Derby direction along the A52, my Tom Tom with latest map wants me to turn off left instead of carrying on to the roundabout and turning right along Harrison Way. This could be just my Sat Nav , but I suggest that once on the A52 between Derby and Ashbourne, one should follow the directions above in the previous post. If coming from the Ashbourne direction, you will see the wall to your left at the roundabout and you will see the 'Ashbourne Business Park' sign in the road at the entrance to Harrison Way. If coming from the Derby direction, you will see the wall to the right that has a 'Dales Park' sign in the brick and the Harrison Way road sign below. Hope that helps.
Chris poyser
As long as you all turn Ito Harrison way off the new roundabout for the trading estate you will find us. Just drive until you see the gate on the right probably half mile, I’ve not measured it, and it will be manned by man in hi vis and I will even tie a nice bow of hazard tape on it 👍👍🤣🤣
Chris poyser
Keep your eyes on here for updates re weather any hint that the 29 th is looking dodgy we will revert to backup plan cheers all I hope the numbers are good as I’m very low on replies cheers all chris
Geoff S
According to an email from Martin Lilley, the club sec, the 3 words for the gate itself are gangs.ranches.crafts. Probably only different because the W3W application is quite accurate and thus limited in area.
Chris poyser
Hello all i have a question for you all given the first date is not finding favour with quite a few of the regulars to ASD, it clashes with a bigger event the club committee has offered the opportunity to change the dates We have 2 options using the 6th as the first date with the 13th as reserve or the 13th with 20th as reserve my preference would be to delay it to more like our trad dates of years past and go for 13th, we chose these dates originally to miss the end of show season. I am open to all views, answers here asap please so I can decide and let committee know and get the message out 🤞🏻🤞🏻
Chris Barlow
Hi Chris Would be happy with the 6th/13th Oct as 29th is Best of British at Buckminster and 20th is the last PSSA meeting at the Great Orme. Other than that I'll be there! 👍
Geoff S
One minor problem is that the date (29 September) is published in the print edition of RCME which arrived this morning.
