RottenRow
I have an XJT module that functions correctly in every way, except that it often gives a continuous beeping. The manual states that this is a warning that the antenna is broken, which it isn't (and the connections are all fine). It is the XJT's on-board sounder that is beeping, not the Tx. Tx is a Taranis X9D+ 2019, Open TX 2.3.15. The same thing happens on a second Tx so it is the module at fault. Checking the RAS on the Tx shows it to be either 0 (perfect, and then there is no beeping) or 1 or 2 (almost perfect, but I get the beeping). RAS increases if I touch the antenna, as I would expect it to. Removing the antenna gives the 'radio antenna defective' message and on-screen warning as it should do. The internal module (running ACCST) behaves exactly the same was as far as the RAS figures are concerned, but I get no warning, unless I completely remove the antenna. Therefore it appears that the threshold setting of the poor signal alarm in the XJT module is incorrect. This XJT module is new to me so I don't know it's previous life I'm afraid. My question is... is this setting adjustable, and if so how do I do that please? And to what level should it be set? There is nothing in the Tx menus (as far as I can tell) that allow anything to be changed within the external module. The module was running ACCST V1 as received, I have now reflashed it to V2 in the hope that this would also reset the alarm to some default setting, but it made no difference. Thanks. Brian. RottenRow
I'm just wondering if anyone might have missed this the first time around, and has any idea how to change the RAS alarm. Thanks. Brian.
