Hi, trying to set up this radio is giving me brain ache.I think the answer to my problems might be found in this book. T9 sell them but are out of stock. The title is” Horus X10 Express Open Tx 2.3 user manual”  by Lother Thole. If anyone has a copy they no longer need I would be very greatfull.

Cheers John.

I never had that particular book but I do have this, it covers a slightly earlier version but if I remember correctly things really didn't change that much, and anyway if it doen't help you can just delete it.

FrSky gave up on FrSky OS quite a while ago, as far as I can remember there was never a manual written for it and there is almost no information on it as most X10 users never used it prefering Open TX from the very start.

You could convert it over to either Open TX, Edge TX or convert over to FrSky Ethos system but unless it has had the internal RF ISRM module updated you will be restricted to ACCST and won't be able to use ACCESS.

Best of luck whichever route you choose.

He is running FrSky OS - so the OpenTx manuals are no use. If the transmitter is the original series Horus X10 (ie NOT the Express version) then you will find the manual on the FrSky website under the Download section - Transmitters/Horus Series. But it doesn't cover using with SR6 receivers, and is pretty useless anyway. My advice would be switch to OpenTx operating system as the FrSky OS was never properly developed beyond the initial stages. If the Tx is a Horus X10 Express (introduced in 2021) then the manual can be found in the same place - but the same comments apply. The big difference here though is that the Express model can run FrSky's superb Ethos OS which is VERY well supported and has a fully up-to-date manual ready to be downloaded. Download the Ethos firmware (its free) and forget FrSky OS. That done, YouTube is your friend - FrSky Steve has just produced comprehensive info on setting up FrSky stabilised receivers. But you've a long journey in front of you...good luck

Take a look there. Maybe it will help.

Yes, I fully understand how easy it is to migrate - I have migrated a number of radios to  OpenTX and EdgeTX.

If the OP wants to migrate from his current OS, seems little point in going to OpenTX - may as well go to EdgeTX,or Ethos (if possible), as they are more 'current' and there is lots of help out there....
