That said its never needed a repair of any sort, and is worth just £7k less than I paid for it. I can cope with an annual depreciation of £1400. Murat Kece 1
I used BMW in the last 30yrs and never had any issues at all. All my friends with British or other European brands had serious issues, especially the Range Rovers.
David Davis
Eight years ago I bought this 1998 VW LT28. I have had the driver's seat repaired and have replaced the brakes, the starter motor, the exhaust and the tyres. It's been eminently reliable but then I only do about 6,000 miles a year. Plenty of room for the models of course!

When looking for a new one, I take a certain Ultimate biplane with me. . . 14 bolts need to negotiated to fit/remove the wings, so the model stays in one piece. If the model will not fit into a car, I look for a different vehicle. . It's a tight fit sometimes. This is the main criteria before I even look at the "office" in the driver's seat. The salesmen are always very nervous. . . Lol. That undercarriage looks a bit heavy....... 1

Well I managed to 'pull' using my dad's Morris Minor 1000 van with the family name sign written on the side (my only transport was my BSA Lightning). It was clearly successful as 60 years later the 'pull' continues 🙂 6

The trusty Ultimate - now 18 years old - will be at an Achievement Scheme "training and testing" event at Buckminster later today (Tuesday) doing flights to demonstrate the "B" Test to prospective candidates. It's a good day out. 👍
