John Wagg
A new motor / ESC set up and when closing the throttle at zero the motor does a dead stop. This is without the prop on.! It's as if a brake is momentarily applied then releases. I have had this before on another plane but I don't know how I stopped it from doing it. Any suggestions gratefully appreciated. Thanks. Frank Skilbeck
The ESC might be programmed to do this, you need to set brake off in the ESC programming. The brake function is very useful with folding props (i.e. gliders) without it the prop will carry on windmilling and you get extra drag. John Wagg
Managed to alter the program to remove the motor brake. Took a bit to comprehend the instructions and, with a little bit of guidance from this video, job done. Thanks.
