Graff
Hi all, I just picked up this beautiful machine today. It's an ex F4C aircraft built by a very talented local builder. The prototype is the Swedish Sk-25 Bücker bestmann. The 2 meter span model is powered by an O.S. 30 cc fourstroke petrol engine. The details are really nice. This will be a back up airplane for next year if anything happens to my regular F4H airplane.

Graff
I made a typo, the model is 2.6 m 😉 It's a quarter scale model.

Manish Chandrayan
My first reaction on seeing the first picture was. "What a hideous looking undercarriage for a nice scale job!". That is, till the time I scrolled further down to see the scale undercarriage and the bulb lit up that the alloy job was only for storage and transport. Nicely made and lovely scale details. Hope you have many hours of joy flying this ship👍 Edited December 11, 2024 by Manish Chandrayan
Keith Billinge
Is that the aircraft that James Garner crashes in the Great Escape? Certainly looks like it..... Beautiful detail by the way!
Graff
Yes, it was a Bestmann in that movie.

Jesus Cardin
Congrats on the model! I am a lover of the Bucker planes in general and of the Jungmann and Bestmann models in particular. I own a Modellstudio 1/4 scale kit which I will love building and painting as a semi scale version of the old Krick kit...... love the colours but not the registration code! (Translation note: in Spanish "ECES" reads as "heces", which is "sh"t!) Will thank a lot if you produce a video of the Bucker in flight, Best Regards and Merry Christmas from Spain.

Thanks, I will try to get a video of it. I'm waiting for my new JETI receiver for it. My good friend Börje has a Bestmann that is identical to mine except for the engine.
Jesus Cardin
Thanks a lot of, Graff. Of course, I already knew of that video! I had a friend competing at that event with a Decathlon, as part of the Spanish team. Thanks again for the video.
