Highroller
Hello fellow modellers ! I'm searching for detailed information on Chris Golds Douglas RA-3B Skywarrior twin EDF. I think this model was designed in the mid or late 90's. I have a set of plan and the canopy and I'm a little lost on some of the construction process. The building instructions are written on the plan but there is some discrepancy between the drawing and the dimension of some wood component . Also, some details are missing on the plan : e.g. : what model of retracts used and how they were mounted inside the fuselage, ... the bolt-on wing attachment as parallel walls so I don't know how you can remove the wing from the fuselage as there is no way to tilt to whole thing, ... the leading edge cap of the tail fin does not match the dimension in the instructions, etc.... I found nothing on the internet other than a picture of the model on the cover of October 1999 Electric Flight International magazine and a seller of this back issue told me there is no detailed article about the plane inside. It is written RC Model World (without a date) so I'm wondering if a detailed article can be found in that magazine instead but without a date it is difficult to know in which issue ??? I built a PBY Catalina from a plan so I have experience in model building and I already corrected some issues on this model but It would help a lot if I can get more details and pictures of the model and its components. Thank you all for your help !
