Mode 1 conversion--black edition-- FRSKY X20RS

I am about to buy one of the above transmitters. However, stockists seem to have only mode 2 in stock. Going on line suggests that one can change mode within the software similar to the way I can with my existing (horrid user unfriendly) Futaba 14sg.

Trouble is that it is not just software that needs changing. The springs in the gimbals have to be altered. I know that the face of the gimbals can come off when changing gimbals .

My question is- can one access the springs in the throttles easily when changing modes or is it best to order mode 1 from the start & wear the wait for the right model?

It will be, it's quite simple, back off the ratchet and friction and transfer to the other side and loosen the vertical spring tension completely on one side and wind it up on the other side, thats all there is to it, a five minute job.

Alternatively try asking the dealer to do it for you as many will.
