You now get 100% of the selling price of your item, no fees are deducted. Ebay withholds the payment until delivery has been confirmed (by including a tracking number or a code for personally collected items), then puts the money into your ebay funds. If you don’t post items using a tracked service, the money is released into your funds after a couple of weeks. These funds are then used for any purchases that you may make, or credited to your nominated bank account either upon request or automatically once every three months. Buyers now have to pay an extra fee on top of the final bid price (so-called buyer protection fee), this is only on private sellers’ items. IMHO - other perspectives are available 🙂 Buyers are confused and don't like it It appears cash on collection now cant be done as how do eBay get paid Sellers have to wait far too long to get paid (thats assuming the buyer doesn't dispute or damage the item within 48hrs of receiving it) EBay make a fortune globally on the funds they are holding to your order. EBay community posts seems to suggest that private sellers are going elsewhere so let's see what happens - if eBay sees this as a trend the rules will change again. The way they announced the new free selling process in Jan February was the winner but clearly not for them Happy flying Edited Thursday at 08:20 by Halsey
Andy Symons - BMFA Posted Friday at 07:02 Share Posted Friday at 07:02 Spent most of the night transferring the classifieds to a different server. Hopefully it will resolve the cookie notice issue. Unfortunately I haven't been able to transfer across many of the advert images so if you have any listings you may need to re-upload the images to the listing.
