GARY BLANDFORD-HULL
I recently acquired a Protech Topic 400 RC Motor Glider Cobolt Brushed Motor model off e-bay. The existing motor is an Irvine 480 Cobalt 11T brushed electric motor. I cannot find any information about this motor and am thinking should I replace the motor with a brushless motor? My question is, is this possible and would you recommend doing this? If so can someone recommend a suitable motor please? Hope to hear back from you soon. Many thanks. Keith Berriman
Good Afternoon Gary Have a look at 4 Max pages and get the link to e mail George with your details of model and motor I feel sure he will respond with a brushless motor and esc and battery and prop size to use

Simon Chaddock
Don't forget the brushless motor will need a brushless ESC. You could simply select a brushless motor that is recommended to turn the same size prop as the original 480 with the same voltage battery. The brushless will be quite a bit lighter so it may require some internal adjustment of the battery position to maintain the CG.
