Skippers Walker
Is there a suitable simulator programme that is compatible with a Futaba T6K TX and a Mac OS Laptop (2024) please? I've searched but without success so far!
Jonathan M
Ikarus used to work with my old Mac, but don't know if they still make it anymore...? Generic wireless dongles are available for Futaba, Spektrum, etc; use an adaptor to go from dongle's bog standard USB to the USB-C port on your Mac. In the end I bought a cheap PC laptop to run random aero stuff that won't work on Macs, i.e. Picasim simulator, Aerobtec software, etc. EDIT: looks like Aerofly 10 works on Macs, see: https://apps.apple.com/lv/app/aerofly-rc-10-r-c-simulator/id6475686268?mt=12 Edited June 8 by Jonathan M
Adrian Smith 1
One star rating doesn't inspire confidence on the Aerofly 10 sadly.
GrumpyGnome
There are lots of YT vids showing Real flight working on Macs. No idea of how to use your tx though. Phoenix also has videos of Macs. You'd need a dongle with a cable for your tx - fleeBay!
Gunnar Borseth
There are programs that enables you to run software made for Windows on Mac. Boot Camp is one. I have never done it myself, but YouTube is your friend here.

Skippers Walker
Success! "Parallels -Windows" software download for Mac OS plus Realflight package and a Futaba (SFHSS) Dongle. You Tube certainly helped. Cheers Folk for your help SW
Guvnor
Don't bother with Parallels or Windoze rubbish. Just look for: Heli-X10 or neXt
Guvnor
If the Mac has an M series processor it may not work with Parallels and certainly won't work with BootCamp...
Adrian Smith 1
My Mac (OS sequoia) has an M1 chip presumably that's the processor, so unlikely to work? Excuse my ignorance.
Skippers Walker
Almost too much information for an 80+ fixed wing flier to absorb. Maybe I'll park my idea for a while! Thanks for all the contributions and opinions🤔 SW

With Winows products? No. Just try the Mac compatible sims linked above, no fiddling around, just download, install and go. I think both offer free demos to try out. 19 hours ago, Skippers Walker said: Almost too much information for an 80+ fixed wing flier to absorb. Maybe I'll park my idea for a while!
