lone fly yes but someone else dont have to be a flyer must be near by to spot any aircraft coming in to land ect as its active RAF / army airfield
-
i cant get any models to load to do paint schemes
old one was no problem
glad i am not only one
-
another vote for imax 6 type
-
for me its
high rate switch up
flaps down switch down
landing gear down switch down
-
61 be a good start should be quite quick
-
sorry crystal ball not working
engine as big as possible
-
all ways adjust on plane as near as you can and use tx setting for smallest adjustment like chris bott above said
servo close to center and horn far from hinge
and put servo horn on after the rx and tx are switched on and trims 0
AR400 a great rx
-
yes please make a change to have some big name glue
-
sorry for double post must buy a new mouse
we get our fare share of new members
but when your clubs in a secure MOD place where aircraft can land at any time of day and drop anything they like there is no way passer bys are wanted or allowed
as above colin put it cert a and b sounds a good thing
but to have it force on someone that wishes to just fly for fun on there own or in a small group in safe place then thats different kettle of fish
-
common club rule of buddy lead unless you have a A cert.
glad our club not common
and if a passer by stops he would be asked who are what your doing and get out if the first two answers are not correct
lets just hope the fees dont go up to pay for it
or some other insurance scheme is sorted out that will cover the hobby for the ones that only what to fly and have fun
-
the idea of needing a B cert is from that most clubs say B cert to fly where there is public that dont belong to the club you cant have someone not at a set flying skill flying there
-
the auto settings should be fine
just set max amps nicads and nim i give 1 amp and lead anything up to max according to size of lead battery
-
i find the lifes dont need balancing as much as lipo
if you get a long servo ext. take off the plastic cover a round the pins this will fit in the battery plug and the other end fits on the charger
-
i use the power packs on my disable scooter each pack has 2x 12volt and i fitted deans plugs on each battery
-
i was just going to say what plane well done for link
what is the gap where the engine fits then go from there even better if built with everything in it put it on a cog stand and add weight where the engine would be to see how much the max weight the engine could be before you have to start thinking about moving things back
dont get a little engine then have to added weight to balance it out you mite even be able to fit a .60 which will be a good one for next plane and on wards
-
just buy extra charger like imax B6 charger that do 4 battery at once normally cost loads more then cost of another 3 B6 and if one breaks you have not lost the only charger
-
it is very easy to add a 4 cell lipo to the side of a starter if you dont want a panel
some swear by glow stick for starting i use a 2volt lead battery with wires on will start motors all week
some panels have 2 volt out put
but you should be aiming to have your engines so well tuned that a quick reverse flick will start it every time
or use a chick stick ie bit of broom handle with rubber finger on
-
one try to have fuel can away from battery
ie battery inside and can on outside of trolley and have one connector easy to pull off if shorted
i all ways used a 2volt lead battery with leads for glow plug just because they are so good and don't go flat like a stick jobbie can
keep it minimal
you dont need the whole work shop with you
-
all correct above
the battery heats the wire in the glow plug after engine started the engine heats the plug there for the plug dont need the battery so much but will still be taking a little
if the glow plug burns out the the engine stops as there no heat to back fuel burn
you can put a micro switch on the throttle so battery only connected at low revs which would make battery last longer
-
you said yes to helping him
you got your hand in the way
your fault
NO claim
i had broken fingers cut hands and even cut tendons and nerves and loss the the use of my thumb in modeling

are you sure there is not room inside the tx
on my DX6i i put life battery inside tx and just a balance plug and charge plug in where the aa went
-
i have used life for over a year now in my spectrum dx6i 2 cell no regulator
-
they do most off them
i was trying to get a cross that unless you choose balance charge it dont balance
just because balance lead plugged in when in charge mode dont mean cells will be balanced
if you see what i mean
-
balance charging normally have its own setting
some think just because the balance leads plug in and charging thats the battery being balance charged
then wonder way theres a difference in cells
servos - matched but opposite
