Just bought a 3dhs 42" slick. reading the instructions, viewing a build video and looking at all their other products, shows them not removing the covering before gluing parts such as the horizontal and vertical stabilizer. Has anyone built a 3dhs plane and followed the instructions or have they removed the covering.

From what I understand they are not 3 phase motors, they are in fact the same as brushed motors with 3 sets of windings using an esc to replace the commutaor and brushes

I already have a heat gun, which is essential!Not true, I resubscribed using the code in the magazine and got the iron. I actually rang them up and queried it, £39 subscription renewal, £45 with covering iron, no contest

Why not take out a subscription to RCM & E, covering iron is free gift at the moment

To avoid vat and parcel farce fee when ordering from Hobby king ensure the declared value to be less than £18. ONly problem with this is if the parcel is lost you can only claim back declared value.
