  1. Very sorry to be rather negative.

I understand things have to progress and the old site has been put to bed for sound technical reasons.

I just can't make head nor tail of what's going on, seems the screen is populated with rather too much dead white space and I'm not sure I want to see who has replied to who and who has changed their Avatar.

Can't complain as it's a free service but the effort V reward just doesn't add up for me.

I'm no stick in the mud as I embrace change but this one's not for me.

    Oh well..☹️

  2. My daughter just rang to say mine has been delivered, asked her to hide it from my accountant till I get home.

I've ordered the full MPX wiring loom set and the retractable wheel, in for a penny in for a pound. By the time I get the cable, MPX connecters and the faff off making them.. Life is too short.

Would make a great review model for the mag, I bet David has been hovering over the buy button smile p

  3. Touch wood.

I've never had a high, or low, value appliance fail on me without giving more than I could reasonably expect for as many years as I can remember.

I've read about screen burn on OLEDs but can't see any permanent logos on any of the stuff I watch so fingers crossed.

I got the TV from John Lewis because of the 5 year free warranty, as were my last 3 TVs.

  4. A bottle of nice Port.

    A bottle of Baileys.

    A shaver.

    An Amazon voucher.

A book about the Atlantic war.

A book about the Falklands war.

    A Ritzenhoff Wheat Beer Glass.

    Some chocolate dipping twirls.

    A Neebo Torch.

Airfix 1/72 Vulcan (new tool) forward order.

And thanks be to the heavens no socks or slippers.

    🤗🤗😣

  5. Thanks for your feedback all. Considering I've a bought a new TV about every 7 years trying to future proof myself I've treated myself to an LG 65" OLED BX model. Wow... very impressed with the image quality.

Not that I could afford it but I could have got away with a larger size.

Wonder what the technology will look like in 7 years time.

    John

  6. Hi All,

Contemplating replacing my 46 inch Panasonic LCD with a larger, newer model.

Wondered if anyone had gone through the same process and what you'd gone for in terms of size and technology.

    Any advice gratefully received.

    John
