  1. Went into WH Smiths and their supply of RCM&E had a booklet about building with foam attached, my copy from subscription didn't. As I mainly build and fly foam I'm disappointed about this omission for subscribers. Will it appear for the April issue?

  2. I subscribe to the magazine but just been to WH Smiths and the copies on sale there have a 'Building in Foam' booklet but none given out to me as a subscriber. Would I be better off cancelling my subscription and buying from  WH Smiths in future?

  3. If there's no chance of getting the Dec mag why can't they tell us. They could use a online communication to let us know, they could call it 'modelflying' or something. Before anybody tells me about the trouble people are having, I know, I'm not exempt. The last person I talked to was on the checkout at my local supermarket. If the shops can get the magazines why can't the subscribers?

  4. Still not got my copy yet, it's not the first time this year or last. I know it's hard times for the mag but it's hard times for me as well. I'm a pensioner who only flies electric and builds with foam/depron so there's often very little in the mag for me, I won't be renewing my subscription. The mag is available in the newsagents at the moment so there's no incentive to part with my paltry pension on a subscription. One last thing, it's hara (belly) kiri (slitting) but I think you might have meant seppuku.

  5. I just hope it's not going to be another scramble by a dire government to steal our frequencies. Remember when Thatcher stole 27 megs from us to give to the illegally operated 'citizen band' enthusiasts (whatever happened to that fad, I suppose mobiles took over).

  6. Check against the manufacturers ratings then drop them by a healthy margin. Check your connections from esc to motor, whenever I've had a 'stuttering' problem it usually turns out to be a bad soldering joint either on the motor or the esc.

  7. Piers, I know you mean well but things haven't been easy for myself. Ten years ago a paraplegic friend asked me to help with her mother, they had been at that time friends of mine for thirty years, so naturally I agreed. It turned out that my friends mother had dementia and over the next few years the dementia progressed as it normally does and six years ago the care became too much for me on my own and my friend had to retire to look after her mother. Needless to say my flying became less and less as the dementia progressed until for the last two years I managed no flying at all. The mother passed away on 'Mothering Sunday', then lockdown started. I sometimes have meetings on Zoom and if I'm really lucking a skype one-to-one. With the lockdown being gradually lifted there's hope of meeting friend but most of them, naturally want to see their families before they want to see their 72 year old friend, so I'd be grateful if you'd keep your assumptions to yourself. Receiving the magazine is one of the small bright moments but as I fly electric only it is often irrelevant for me so £5.75 is often a waste of money because if there's not enough in the magazine, I won't be buying it from any newsagent.
