  1. I have my A cert and want to be able to take my B. I am self taught but now would like to get some "expert" tuition to improve (and rectify??) my flying skills. I live in the Midlands and so I'm looking for someone who is, say, no more than a one hour (or so) drive away. I would be happy to pay for the right level of tuition.

I have trawled various forums etc and all I could find was mention of, and I quote, "Colin Chapman, who runs Midlands Flight Training, has two sites available for tuition, both in Northamptonshire. Tuition is normally charged at £25 per hour and you can use your own model or one of Colin's models. You can get in touch with Colin on 07711 963939." I have tried to contact him but the number rings out but is never answered! If anyone knows whether Colin is still around please let me know.

Are there any other similar R/C Flying Training Services available in the "Midlands" area?

  2. Last year I bought a second hand Jiant Jabberwock which I plan to get airbourne this season.

I have been trying to find out more about it but google doesn't gome up with much.  Is the model based on a full size plane?  If so I would like to find out more, and more about the heritage of the model.

    Can you help please?

    Regards

  3. Hi Flanker,

Great news, thanks.  I was concerned since RCV state that the fuel MUST have some castor in it - I already have some Coolpower Fuel which is 10% and fully synthetic oil.  Based on what you say I shall now confidently try that.

Thanks for taking the time to reply

    regards

     Geoff

  4. Hi Timbo,

Many thanks for prompt reply.  I have done as you suggest, except for taking the tops off.

Pleased to report that I was able to say for each - "the force is strong with this one".

Would you still recommend a visual inspection of the insides?

    Regards

     Geoff
