  1. Nice job, shame about the prang. How did you manage getting off that rubbish sticky covering and its residue? I have a FW190 I should like to recover but am put off as I assume getting all the adhesive off the airframe will be a major pain.
  2. The method I use to contain the LiPos when charging is inside a Pyrex oven dish with lid. Relatively cheap, fire/high temperature proof and they remain visible whilst charging.
  3. My fleet has many electric (about 9) and IC (about 12) a mixture of 2S and 4S and 6 helis (3 each electric and IC). I am keen to put anything that flies into the air regardless of the power source. However the noise of someone revving his motor in the pits endlessly trying to tune it (never wants any assistance of course) I find annoying. So to live without that would be a bonus. 4. Thanks David it worked fine. I am now a subscriber to the digital edition. Only downside is it would be nice to be able to download and read offline, much like the other magazines I have subscriptions to. I think this would be nice for at least the editions that were included in the current paid subscription period. I could well understand if this was not possible for editions prior to the paid subscription period, I would be happy if these were to remain read only and online access. Anyway thanks again and also thanks to those responsible for the mag, by far and away the best RC mag available (for my tastes anyway).
  5. Pretty much as above, for fixed wing if you are the typical Sunday sport flyer you will not really benefit from the digital servos accuracy and power. However if you fly helicopters then they become essential equipment. You can get away with analogue servos in a 600 size heli if all you are doing is learning to hover, although I would still advise against it!
  6. Hi David, Thanks for the reply. I have tried to access the sample digital edition on both my iPad (iOS 5.1) and a PC running Windows 7 using Chrome. This is the error message that appears, "Sorry, you do not have access to the digital editions". This was after logging in. Any assistance will be much appreciated as I am keen to have access to the digital editions (after an initial looksie!) as I live in Australia and the latest edition available here is February. So you can see the delays......
  7. A while ago I looked at subscribing to the digital edition but found the viewer to be absolute rubbish, both on my iPad and my PC. I believe things have improved of late so I tried to have another look via the subscription page. Lo and behold when I pressed the view sample button the next screen informed me I did not have access because I was not a subscriber - how bizarre. So the upshot is I still don't know if the viewer is any better now. I would love to have the magazine available to me electronically but I am not prepared to spend twenty quid if it is a dud. Oh well I shall continue to log on to the web page and enjoy the great content there at least........
  8. My DX8 has a setting to allow me to use mind control - I use "the force".
  9. I am considering subscribing to the digital edition as I am a fan of the magazine. Unfortunately the quality of the copy both on my PC and iPad makes it near illegible. Is there a dedicated reader required? Edited By David Ashby on 04/03/2012 13:03:05
