  1. @import url(http://www.modelflying.co.uk/CuteEditor_Files/Style/SyntaxHighlighter.css);@import url(/CuteEditor_Files/public_forums.css); Well if you're going to get literary about it then:   "Children of the future age, Reading this indignant page, Know that in a former time Love, sweet love, was thought a crime."         Edited By Steven Buckingham on 22/08/2011 00:45:37
  2. Stick it in the Spit, put a couple of good strong English fingers up to the oily's. R J Mitchel would have approved of anything which gave an edge and you know its going to be better for the conversion!@import url(http://www.modelflying.co.uk/CuteEditor_Files/Style/SyntaxHighlighter.css);@import url(/CuteEditor_Files/public_forums.css);
  3. And here she is in all her ready to fly glory.     Proof!     I did some lovely low slow passes but unfortunately the photographer was distracted so this is the best we got. This was flight number two and so a bit more playing, I got a fairly tidy loop out of her and she was very well behaved in the stall. It was also fairly gusty and I was impressed with how well she coped, with the wind (for a model of her size).   A pleasure to build and fly! @import url(/CuteEditor_Files/public_forums.css);
  4. Had the test flight today, apart from a tendency to skew right when powering up on the ground, no problems. She flew beautifully, a touch of up trim then straight and level with no issue, didn't notice the tendency to circle that Peter mentioned in the build article.   Pictures to follow, had a bit of a camera malfunction but will sort it out ahead of the next flight. @import url(http://www.modelflying.co.uk/CuteEditor_Files/Style/SyntaxHighlighter.css);@import url(/CuteEditor_Files/public_forums.css);
  5. Thanks Chrisie, the wing tips are definitely not perfect but the rest came out okay. All trimmed out and ready to fly. Flight weight is 21 1/4oz (target was 21 oz, pissed about the extra 1/4 ) and the C of G, is spot on with no adjustments. Only just finished I'll put some pics up tomorrow and hopefully test at the weekend.@import url(http://www.modelflying.co.uk/CuteEditor_Files/Style/SyntaxHighlighter.css);@import url(/CuteEditor_Files/public_forums.css);
  6. Almost finished Wattsdog, it's my first plan build in 16 years and looked like a nice plane to get me going again. Pretty pleased with it so far. I've loaded it with a 1000kv brushless outrunner thats advertised as a speed 400 equiv and a 2 cell Lipo. From ground tests it feels like its got enough pull to get it in the air, and I think the CofG is going to be pretty much spot on without too much tweaking. Hoping to do the finishing touches next weekend and then test flight depending on the weather. Will let you know how it goes! @import url(http://www.modelflying.co.uk/CuteEditor_Files/Style/SyntaxHighlighter.css);@import url(/CuteEditor_Files/public_forums.css);
  7. I'm a returning flyer and have just got myself a Hitec Optic 6 as a starter tx partly because HiTec seem to be a step ahead on the telemetry front? I think the opportunities of telemetry are great particularly the idea of a variometer on a glider!   To start with I'm looking to make use of the basic functionality included in the kit to set up the low battery warning for a 3 cell lipo. I got the HPP 22 setup eventually (v.poor instructions included, but a trip to http://hitecrcd.co.kr/tester/hpp_22.htm for the .exe got it functioning, and why couldn't they build it direct into the tx?)   Can anyone advise what the low battery warning should be set at for a 3 cell Lipo? I'm pretty conservative with my air time but a backup doesn't do any harm!   Thanks
