Gday again
Just a thought about new topics I myself am a bit of a rareity,I class myself as a young scratch builder.I am aware the majority of new generation pilots are in the 'ARF' generation and not many of them perhaps have the basic hand skills such as soldering wire (piano or electrical) or making parts such as vacuum formed canopies or fibreglass cowls or wheel spats. Please forgive me if RCM&E have done articles on these topics in the past as where I am new news does take a while to reach. -
Gday there
Time for a silly question,Ive been in this hobby for about 20 years and I was wondering how the top pilots get their equipment overseas when competing in competitions in other countries. With all the rules and regulations at the moment with what you can and cannot be taken as cargo on aircraft what do they do? I wonder what one has to do to get ones secret nitro mix or their lipos through customs let alone their competition models without getting the 3rd degree from the friendly staff at any international airport.I know its a silly question but just the packaging to transport a model I imagine would be quite exquisite.Edited By David Ashby - RCME Administrator on 14/09/2011 09:23:51

Excellent idea guys, I've converted all my models from i.c to electric but I've got this bad habit of overpowering my models. You can never have too much power.
