HI Timbo and David I see we have the usual con sinement of drivel for xmas and new year , nothing worth watching ..yawn .. will have my usual chores to do cook dinner get tea , wash up go to bed get up cook dinner ect ect ect .Timbo just want to apollogize for the thread posted earlyer on ,had areal bad day had a stroke 5 years ago and the wife who is my carere was down with flu that day had look after her that day so, have a very good xmas and new year to you both just love your threads regards james h poole ....... hi DAvid Just received my prize from the prize draw not the one allowcated ,but never mind received palm z instead of black ghoste helecopter , just bought one two weeks ago fly great just have enought room to fly around sitting room. HI everybody finger healed back at last ,have been bizzy biulding new hanger .old one falling to bits with age . like me bang goes new chopper this year . have just started to make the parts for the wings cut out all ribs ect ' . still in state of confustion with the work shop ak the shed ....... cant find things bloody newsence bloody mary ,has any body decided how to make the interiar seat having problems how to make them can not get the bowls make the seats trying to work out somthing else to use if you do let us now good luck with the progect (james poole) tosh

HI BEN KABAY I am half way through biulding the bm and im sorry to say it is not a project i would under take as a beginer, as Richard says it is an unusual consruction . I have built and rebuilt the front end twice and i have been building some years, dont be put off of building your own models its great when you are ask were did youget it and you can say i made it my self. So start with something simple and take your time and always for help if your not shore of things plenty of people on line to ask.Hope it has not put you off. (TOSH)

Hi Andrew forgot to say included in the price i mensioned it included 15 peices of 6mmx6mmx1 meter spruce for the longerons and cross cross members. Have fun must go shopping with the wife . TOSH (JAMES).....

Hi Andrew regards your question how much it cost, i have all most finished the fusalage have made the two fins and tail plane . I have spent approx £30 pounds so far and still counting , i managed to get hold of some 2mill ply board 4'X 1' inches 4foot x 1 foot size 2 off £5 pounds each half inch x 4"x 36" board approx £2.30 , 1/4 inch x4x36" board 1/8x4"x36" board . I then cut out all peices on my saw , its alot of hard work but worth it when its finished .It will some time yet screw driver sliped gone through finger right next to bone silly me old age ,hope this will give some idea of what you will need couple more trips to model shop covering next and new engine if funds will strech to it lots luke with build tosh (JAMES)

HI KEVI Just to let you no have been into the workshop ,and have weigh all components ect copper peices and the weight i got was . 6 ounces or 190 grams .going to have look around to see if i can find some aluminium parts to see if i can make it lighter in weight let you now if i find some thing, scalpel and sandpaper awaite??? HI ALL AS ANY BODY STARTED BUILDING THIS MODEL YET HAVING GRATE FUN TRYING TO BUILD MINE TWO THIRDS WAY THROUGH FUZZ GETTING THE PLANS IS ONE THING TRYING TO INTERPRETATE THE THEM IS ANOTHER . THATS WATT MODELING IS ALL ABOUT ENIT.TRYING TO UP LOAD SOME PHOTOS FROM PC , NO JOYE YET STILL STRUGLING MUST BE MY AGE 60+ ,ANY WAY BESIDE THE POINT. HI KEVIN I GOT MY COPPER EXHAUST PLUMING FROM WILKINSONS GOT THE T PEICES ELBOWS AND 30 CENTIMETER PIPE FLEXIBLE CUT IN HALF TO MAKE BOTH SIDES 15 CM AND BEND AT 45 DEG I AM GOING TO TAKE THE EXH DOWN UNDER THE WINGS SO THAT THE EXH RESIDUE CLEARES THE FUZZ NOT SO MESSY .THE TOTAL COST OF ALL THE PLUMING COST ABOUT £6.45p HAVE GOT ABOUT TWO THEARDS OF THE WAY THROUGH MAKING THE FUZZ, I DONT THINK IT WILL BE TO HEAVY CONSIDERING THE WAITE OF THE MODEL WAS THINKING OF PUTTING A 72 FOURSTROKE IN IT IT WILL MEAN ALTERING THE EXHAUST ???might just stick WITH THE 2STROKE. TRYING TO UPLOAD SOME PHOTOS , BUT HAVE NOT YET MANAGED TO DO SO GOOD LUKE WITH THE BUILD HAVE FUN DOING MINE REGARDS TOSH

HI DAVID COULD YOU PLEASE TELL ME WHAT YOU MADE THE EXHAUST PIPES OUT OF I GOT SOME COPPER PIPE ABOUT 30 CM LONG,IT IS A BENDABLE PIECE OF WHICH I CUT INTO TWO PIECES OF EQUALE LENTH GOING TO TAKE IT DOWN BOTH SIDES UNDER THE WINGS, SO THAT THE EXHAUST WILL NOT MAKE A MESS OF THE FUZZ HOPEFULLY.WHAT DID YOU USE FOR HOLDING EVERY THING TO GETHER, U TALKED ABOUT COLD SOLDER. HI DAVE IS THERE ANY ONE ELSE OUT THERE BUILDING THIS LOVELY OLD AIROPLANE BESIDES MY SELF . I HAVE FOUND ONE OR TWO THINGS THAT DONT MATCH BUT HAVE OVER COME THE PROBLEMS ,AS US MODELERS DO . HAVE BEEN MODELING ON AND OF FOR NEARLY FIFTY YEARS NOW .STILL LEARNING CAN WAIT FOR THE SECOND HALF OF THE PLANES TO OUT . WY COUDENT YOU PUT BOTH HALFS OF THE PLANES TOGETHER LIKE DID WITH THE TYPHOON .DRIVING ME MAD WAITING ,BY THE WAY ANY BODY OUT THINKING OF BUILDING THIS MODEL NEEDS EXPERIENCE ? hi TERRY dings and dents are a pain , unavoidable at times the way i deal with them is with water and a iron . using a small paint brush coat the area of the dents with water leave for approx 30 sec and the gentley run the iron over the dents. and before yor eyes the dents will vanish. what happens is the water is turned to staem very fast and expands thus returning the wood to its shape that it was hope this will be of sum use . james poole -
dear david have been studing the magazine and the plans have sudenly realized how you gone about making it must be my age .getting on a bit 62 or there abouts did you run the exhaust out of bouth sides would sound nice if you did .have a look down the local diy store for the bits and pieces have been cutting out all the formers , managed to get some foam board frome my local art shop , 700x 400 aprox size cost me £4.70p .I thougth very resnable . must get back to the work shop ak the shed , looks a nice model when finished hope the younger generation will have a go at it james

hi DAVID JUST STARTED TO BUILD BLOODY MARY HAVING PROBLEMS WITH WORKING OUT HOW THE EXHAUST SYSTEM WORKS . HAVE YOU DETAILED IT ON THE NEXT SET OF PLANS ,HAVE CHANGED THE LANDING GEAR THE WAY IT WORKS WILL USE SUSPENSION UNITS OF MY OLD SUBARU AND GHANGE THE DESING.WILL LET YOU NOW IF IT WORKS.
