  1. so ive got this slec coyotey sitting around with out a wing .i fancy giving a redesign a go. i plan on getting rid of the t tail , add a permanent power pod with a cox engine and fuel tank to it and because i no longer have any wings for it i fancy a re-do of the design . how would one go about redesigning the aerofoil , draw a plan, and figure out wingspan .ive been away from the hobby for a good while now  and been getting my flying fix via realflight and other computer games such as il2 great battles and microsoft flight sim so im a bit rusty at this .

can i buy root and tip aerofoils from a cnc company to use the sandwich method with some ribs. i dont own a printer .i have no idea about how to plot an aerofoil .then there is how to guage the center of gravity once its all fueled up.can i have some hints and tips please gents, any help will be much appreaciated.

    its made by seagull..about 4 kilos..six channel..costs under £190.00

thats quite heavy i think ..mmmm..over 9 pounds..comes with pilot and retracts..cowl..hardwear pack..

and lights how fab lol that'll be a first for me lol

    sorry about the misunderstanding Martin

might need quite a bit of power i think..just a reallty appealing model for me..silver oracover

  4. i'm sorry martin i don't seem to understand

just asking if the aeroplanes any good.seems a bit over powered for a 91 when the wing span is less than 65 inches

    is there a problem ??

arent you the guy with the T180?

  5. get a sim, cheaper, warmer and if your young, less dangerous ..eerm ahem aye find out about flying dynamics and youll be sorted just dont go out and chuck.. be patient and read lots theres acctually alot to it.. think about it

i happen to be useing a futaba skysport 6a and tonight after coming from the pub and fired up my simulator only to find out that i have no power going to my transmitter i have had an issue with it before (previus post) but that problem was quickly solved ..now the battery should have power in it, i didnt knock it anyway more than usual, i know this is a bit vaige but surley the problems simple, its usually fine..if not flawless

can sombody give me sudjestions on the possible flaws ,,,tonight...its 11 oclock ..please and thanks

Burt Trautman could be added for a little scale detailsmiley

Whos Burt Trautman...a WW2 pilot?...Just watched wings of the luftwaffe last night .maybe if i had a better memory i would remember the pilots that were being interviewed.and crack a joke too ,but could see right through there faces ................good try though .well done grandads..sigh

    looks an interesting model.

I think so .is this an rc model pic here or is this die cast. mine wont be that detailed but i'll try and get close..minus the door, tow, front window and pos wheels..donno not sure..Its either this or a slingsby T56 .sure i could build the slingsby but i'd prefer the DFS glider. No hurry..seems like im to busy on this forum to build my own models..lol..

plus i fly realflight alot..going to upgrade to g6,5 real soon ..Theres not much talk about realflight on this forum ,more phoenix .donno why they both look good and have good physics.and am i nothin paying over £200 for a sim .sure costs less to buy the sim than crash an aeroplane ,and it does look great plus there full size scale aeroplanes so na,..not for me

There is aerofs on steam for download if anybodys interested..£30..looks like pure gold in there promo vid..only full size aeroplanes to fly mind ,no rc ,limited planes at the min though, but for £30 ..great buy

  10. I dont mind this new layout one bit.navigation not a problem. If anything there should be more room in user reviews to type an experience with a model not just a few words... its ok all i need to do is ask somewhere and somebody will respond

    havent uploaded anything yet ..

ipad seems to have its fair share of problems with this forum i noticed...Bang on Andy Green.good comment.

  11. Great model..How did you get the wood colour so dark?..Nice little touches on the design Lindsay.

I see,... the fuz angle on the underside changes behind the cockpit, suiting it to open framework..genius..

did you sketch the design on paper Lindsay? .To visualize the end shape or was it a pc job?

Im defo going to give this designing a model go.beer mats work well tooo ,

    so says old skool RCM&e

  12. so you bent the main spars??ok,i guess this way there wouldn't be a kink in the wings, like an sharp change in the wing shape at the tips, or did you cut the lower spar then do the sweep.i donno i've never seen this done .Seems like a good way to continue the flow of the wing shape though .for sure i'd mess it up
