  1. Thanks for the info Simon and Wolston
  2. Thanks Simon, What do you Electric Fliers do to overcome this compatibility problem - go for just one brand of ESC so one card will fit all? Mike.
  3. Maybe a daft question!! Is it possible to have one programming card which will programme ESC's by different suppliers? I have a EnErG pro 50A and a Turnigy Plush 60A - will one programming card do both? Mike.
  4. Hi Guys, How have you dealt with F5? - part of the canopy Assembly? or attached it to the fuselage? Mike.
  5. That looks good Ian - what prop spinner are you using? Mike.
  6. Have completed joining fuselage sides but note how F2 has distorted at the bottom in spite of being reinforced with !/4" ply . Mike.
  7. Will - what do you use? Got Firefox on here but never use it.
  8. Nigel, can you PM your address and I will post some balsa material from the CNC fuselage blank - just for your interest. David,  I am waiting for my SK3 3542 1185kV from HK and will fit to Phil's F1A mod but I intend to glue and pin this former with some 16g piano wire to the fuselage sides. You being one of the first to finish the Tucano we can learn from your experiences and thanks for that. Mike. Edited By Mike Hardy on 21/03/2013 14:04:34
  9. Again!! I had the problem with the joint at the top of F3 failing as soon as the clamp was eased off - the fuselage side springing away from F3 pulling away the balsa fibres from the fuselage side. The sides were well damped before making the joint. I have remade the joint and pinned both joints with cocktail stick material at the top of F3. The fin post is now fitted, I will pin this joint as I expect a similar failure. I have built several aircraft from kits in the past and never, never had joint failure problems as I am experiencing with this project - what am I doing wrong? Mike.
  10. Just glued F3 to the sides still using a fair amount of clamp pressure! It you look at the second pic F3 does not meet the top of the fuselage side - is this by design? or do I add balsa to the top of F3 to bring it level with the top of the fuselage side? Mike. 11. Some fingers Nigel!! I am using 1 hour epoxy and I reckon the clamp will have to be in place for the rest of the afternoon! and this is with the sides well dampened with hot water. The wood is from the CNC/wood pack from MHS. Once the epoxy is fully cured I intend to peg the sides to F2 otherwise I think the balsa will shear as referred to in a previous post. Mike.
  12. Hi Phil, clamping power is a problem for me - all I have is the Slec mini clamps using rubber bands. Even wet the sides seem reluctant to pull in. What sort of clamp do you use? Should I need to use such force? Mike
  13. The pics show F1 fitted and held in the jig whilst the epoxy sets. Question should the sides be pulled in to meet F2 and glued before fitting Phil's F1A ? or F1A fitted first,? Mike.
  14. Have just keyed the 'compatibility view' button and the carriage return now works!! why? did not have to do this when using IE9 Mike.
