  1. This summer I was asked to test fly a Habu, I couldn't refuse such a request. I wanted one but the Habu is too expensive whereupon I bought a Starmax F-18E from a local model shop. The F-18 flew during the summer but it is a bit small, fixed undercarriage and a bit slow. Nevertheless I enjoy flying both the F-18 and the Meteor.

For this Christmas my wife wanted to buy me a model of my choice and I took this opportunity to purchase the Meteor from Sussex Model Centre. Thanks SMC for your excellent service to overseas customers.

The model arrived just after 6 days and was put together in about 2 hours. I also bought 2 "Hi Energy 3200mAh 4S lipos" from the same shop I bought the F-18. Last Saturday, I flew it for the first time, requiring only a couple of down elevator trim. Apart from that, it flew very elegantly ending with a perfect touch down. It is also very aerobatic, loops, rolls, knife edge, split-s, outside loops etc. It flies perfectly inverted too and because it is so light, it requires only little movement on the elevators. I am using my latest Futaba 14SG radio and Futaba FASST 7ch (617) receiver.

I highly reccommend the Dynam Meteor to those who are looking for their 1st EDF, I hope you will have the same fun I had till today.

Last but not least I would like to thank my wife Sandra for being always generous and kind hearted with me.dscf3435.jpg

  2. My issue arrived yesterday and immediately read the WOT 4 Xtreme review. Being a Wot 4 maniac, I would like to congratulate and say a big well done to Steve Sales for the review and being the 1st Wot 4 for him. I have all the Wot 4 range and marks, this is the only one I don't have, yet. It's a massive aircraft, I only can imagine how stable it is. My Wot4 XL is extremely stable in flight with a Super Tigre 90 but the Xtreme beats them all. Once again well done Steve and RCM&E.

  3. This coming Tuesday evening my wife and I will be at the airport to greet Ken and Sue Anderson for the 12 time in Malta. Weather is nice here, sunny and bright plus a bit warm.

Recently my son Stefano flew his birthday present, the Acro Wot FoamE and he likes it very much. Last Thursday I flew my latest model, the Hangar 9 Ultra Stick. Both models are programmed on my brand new radio, the Futaba 14FG.

  4. Excellent restoration works Bill. I like the canopy idea. Keep posting more pictures and other information. I never had the Uno Wot but i've got the Wot Trainer. A friend of mine had an Uno Wot with OS 25 and was an excellent trainer, unfortunately he passed away a couple of years ago and his son inherited the model but never flew again. What a pity!

  5. Thanks David and Bob. Today i did 5 flights with the Bullet, buy one, it's worth every penny. Just for the record, this year I flew 19 different models (all mine), including 12 new ones and logged 250 flights. 3 of the best are the Weston UK Capiche 140, the Ripmax ARTF Acro Wot and the Ripmax Bullet.

  6. Ripmax Bullet 30-12-12

Hi all, the Bullet took me 4 evenings to complete. I used metal clevises and changed the wheels to 56mm rubber ones. it is powered by full Futaba radio, 35Mhz Tx & Rx, brand new servos and brand new Thunder Tigre 46ABC turning an APC 10x7 and fitted with a brand new throttle pipe. The edges of the trims started to peel while i was working on it so I sealed them with celo tape and given a pass or 2 with the sealing iron. The tank is a bit small but good, the battery went under the tank and had to add 40grams of lead to the engine mount. Everything was kept straight, no matter what the manual says. The CG is 85mm from the leading edge at the root and the spinner is 58mm aluminium. The pilot is from a BH Angel and so is the instrument panel. The main undercarriage wires are a bit thin so had to make up the difference (the wheels are 4mm) with an aluminium foil wrapped around. It first flew last Friday, too windy NW6 for another go, another flight was held yesterday and 4 flights today on my birthday. Today's weather is splendid, warm 20 degrees celcius and light NW wind. Tomorrow and Tuesday are going to be like today, so more flying time. What else can I say, it is cheap, well made for the amount of money I paid, 150Euros, flies extremely well, lands well too, a perfect model. Thanks to Ripmax and to my wife. And by the way, it's my birthday today, what an excellent way to celebrate.

  7. 16122012280.jpgHi Alan, same wishes goes to you and your family. I'm sorry i was of no help, small electric models are not my kind although I do have an ST Models MX2 Mk2 and my son got the Wot 4 Foam E. I am going to present my son, on his birthday, next March, with an Acro Wot Mk2 Foam E.

    Thanks and happy new year.

  8. BH Bird DogHi Alan, sorry for the late reply, I was busy with my Christmas present, the Ripmax Bullet scheduled for tomorrow. As for my Bird Dog, mine is the Black Horse 74" version powered by an OS95 FS, landing lights, flaps and mixers. This version is very nice to fly very close to the ground with 1/3 throttle and half flaps with the landing lights on.
