Not yet David, i'm more inclined in ic models but my son Stefano is interested in the Wot4 Mk2E. We'll wait and see what happens next. Till now he has to fly my 'messy' Wot 4 range.

Hi David and good morning. I've got 2 Wot 4 Mk3, 1 Wot 4 Mk 2 ARTF, 1 Wot 4 Mk1, 1 Wot 4 XL ARTF and 2 Wot Trainers ARTFs plus my Suzuki bike personal number plate "Wot 4".

I'm sure am. What an impressive model the Wot4XL is. I will keep you posted.

Yes Reu, you have to strengthen the engine area. Mine is powered by a 20cc 4-stroke glow and my friend's model got a DLE 20cc petrol which is more than enough. Another friend of mine is going to power his with a 15cc petrol engine which, according to me, is the perfect choice.Top picture shows my model and the bottom one is petrol powered. The petrol powered model's tail plane detached after some flights, so be aware. Mine is much slower and lighter too, but I think that the 120 4-stroke is not powerful enough. A 140-150 4-stroke would be a better choice or a 15cc petrol engine.Edited By Victor Saliba on 16/02/2011 13:29:23

Hi Capt Ken Anderson international med 1, my family and I are waiting anxiously to welcome you again with us once again. You will have a go on the Mk1.
-
Phil, I have just seen the new member of the Wot series, the Wot Mk2 Extreme, 84" for 50cc petrol. I've already called our local ripmax agent to reserve one. I enlarged the Wot 4 Mk1 plan to 73" for 20cc petrol but now i'm going to wait for the 68" 90 size first, then I see. Will I buy the Extreme version? A great YES - I want them all (tell you a secret, my wife pays for them, ask my friend Ken Anderson).
-
Not really, I'm a devoted Wot 4 fan. I prefer the Mk1 for the simple reason that i built it and it's unique. I'm still waiting for the Mk2 XL, hopefully it will be here next week. The Xtreme is the ultimate, I will invest in a DLE 55 petrol engine.
-
Dear David, can you ship one to my address asap? I'm going crazy. I have just flew the Mk1, see my posting.
-
Thanks mate, yes I do. I have 2 Mk3, 1 Mk 2 and now the Mk1. Next week I'm going to have the Mk2 XL.

A dream came true. I am now the proud owner of all the Wot 4s marks. The latest, the Mk1 flew Saturday 5th February. I only did 1 flight because of throttle problems. The weather was very poor, windy and cloudy. The throttle problem was sorted out later at home. The day after I flew the Mk2 but today 10th February, public holiday here, it flew 5 times this morning and another 5 flights in the afternoon. The plan was bought from Basildon Biggles last year. Many said that the colour scheme is nice, other asked if it''s an ARTF, etc. Powered by a Super Tigre 45 turning an APC 10x7, aluminium spinner, pro-film covering and all Futaba servos. Flying weight is 2.7kg, 6lbs. The cowl is a copy of the Mk3 version, sprayed red by my friend William. My son Stefano, also a Wot fanatic, loves this one. Next week I will take a picture of all of them and post it. No other sports model gives me as much satisfaction and pleasure than the Wot 4.

No 1 Ken and his lovely wife Sue landed at Malta International Airport yesterday evening and were given a great warm welcome by me and my wife. We met up 30 mins later at their hotel in Sliema and had a couple of black coffee and tea and a chat. We discussed a bit of everything. I wish Ken and Sue a memorable holiday. British people are the best.

got mine yesterday, well done. all Special Edition plans are very worthy. Keep it up guys, see you soon Ken.

Hi everyone, my Wot Trainer has logged 400 flights yesterday. See my photo album. Needless to say, I am very pleased with this model. Sometimes i hand over the Tx to someone else and everyone who flew it was impressed. I don't use it as a trainer but as a fun fly model. It is very well balanced, adequately powered by an OS 46 LA turning APC 10x6 prop and Futaba 3001 servos. I want to thank Chris Foss for designing a winner model and Ripmax for presenting it in a RTF version. At the moment I am building the Wot 4 Mk 1 thanks to Basildon Biggles. Flying the Wot Trainer is never enough, i just want to fly it more.
-
Mark, it's the 6V battery which is making the servos twitching because after charge it will go up to 7V (or more sometimes). Try 4.8 (4cell) 2200 mah battery and re-check.
-
Hi David, on behalf of the Maltese modelling comunity, I wish you full recovery.
-
I will do it, no problem. Send me the plans and i built it. I will power it by an Irvine 36, you will not be disappointed.
