  1. I use this one and they still have some in stock atm. Here Got mine in 2 days a few weeks back and it works just fine charging in the TX - blue light goes out when charged although I've seen some comments about the TX not charging some of these 'intelligent' LiPo's properly but this one seems to work fine for me. It has the internal 'intelligent' stuff but does not have balance connector - if the internal balance limiter is set below your charger 'Full' voltage then it will never show as fully charged. I've seen cheaper but never in stock....
  2. Posted by Austenrover on 08/11/2012 13:30:58: **LINK** used this lots great stuff same as hobby shops sell Have used this reinforced tape for years but beware that the adhesive is NOT UV safe so if left in sunlight, the adhesive goes hard and the fibres just fall apart. Is fine if you cover it with something dark. This was a favourite for stiffening Zaggi's under the coloured tape.
  3. looks more like mould to me but a bit of TLC and some reinforcing works wonders
  4. Does anyone have or know of any threads covering whacky foam/depron flying things with a Christmas theme? I've built several depron models with various themes but I fancy doing one with an Xmas theme - a sleigh or Father Christmas or a sack of toys even.... Here a video of my Skyman built from plans off a german website. **LINK**
  5. Dave Bran, I've got both Mini Swift and Jerry and find Jerry more manouverable than the Mini Swift and I have a whole pile of 500mA 2s's as well . The fullsize Swift is very agile but I was dissapointed with the Mini Swift in confined spaces or indoors. Any comment on these or other small wings to keep in the car? I'm an original Zaggi man via xcite thru' to several powered and unpowered slopers as well as anything else I can safely fly on the beach including Flyguy and Skyman - makes the locals stop and stare...... Steve M, I buy stuff from everywhere and even the local model shop if they have something that catches my eye even if it costs a few quid more to put it in the boot there and then. I'm dropping hints for Xmas for a Parkzone SE5A as it looks great in the air and can be flown close-up seeing as it's a foamie.
  6. If it's any help, I've had several complete kits from Flying Wings and the 'standard' set-up from flying wings is OK with basic electronics that work fine but it's not a 'Hot' set-up. Prices are average but the stuff fits in the recesses and the balance is usually OK as well. Not trying to hijack the post but if you're getting into wings, consider also getting the FreeAir Jerry - Tiny EPP Wing over at Robot Birds - Can be flown anywhere and sits on the rear parcel shelf - a true park flyer at 23".
  7. The videos look great Bob, I'm very envious. Apart from the training and time involved to learn paragliding, what sort of budget would you need to get airbourne these days for basic kit and how long (hours) does it take instruction before you can safely get aloft? Also, not wanting to fan or douse any flames, we regularly fly gliders and wings at Kipling Torr alongside paragliders and just treat them like large aircraft and avoid collisions - simples!. We've had a few minor hits but nothing that's caused any injury or damage as far as I know and we've found the paraglider guys invaluable in finding 'lost' models in the gorse.
  8. Only just spotted this but I fly foamies on Instow Beach and Gliders from Kipling Tor at Westward Hoe!
