  1. Well glad to say the carb now works fine after leaving in fuel for a week then heating up free as a bird now. My new problem is trying to fit the Lipo Battery the connections are different think some thing must be missing. The wires from the switch to battery are different i was hoping to try setting my new Radio to the plane but without battery no chance
  2. hi just trying to fit battery for first time to connect new Radio to the plane and receiver. I am new to this so all a learning curve. Came to connect battery to the Switch but connection are different. Cannot find on Google to wire nitro plane only Electric. Can anyone advise please. Also their is another wire coming from something behind the Switch any ideas please. Ron

  4. I always have my wife who is my carer I am in early stages and trying to keep it their. As for trying to fly it on my own never dreamt of it already been to visit Sutton club but decided to wait till I have one ready to fly before joining. I still making things l built my own steam engine in 5” took 5 years but so heavy to move takes 4 to lift it. As for starters I already have three bought a new one when I bought my new Radio. Bought this plane one came with it I had also bid on one from EBay hence having two. Thank you for advice Ron
  5. Hi thanks for advice will put carb in fresh fuel leave till Tomorrow then try heat gun. I will join club soon but got three all needing work. One needs recovering another needs carb and a load of work doing. Today I had a vintage plane delivered that needs everything. I don’t mind as I have to keep Brain working as I have Alzhimers.   6. hi can any one help a novice please i bought a trainer plane yesterday with an Irvine 39 motor in it. i had a look today found the carb looks seized the Ventura is solid the airfoil rod was not able to move at all. i removed the engine took carb of but could not see how it works sprayed with carb cleaner left but still looks solid. the Engine is supposed to be nearly new but been standing awhile. Also i noticed no airfoils on the wings only on the Rudder surley this could never fly like this. hope some one can help always hard learning a new hobby. Ron Hancock
  7. looking at the new Balser wood mk 9 kit and planes looks far harder to understand than building this Black 5. It did take me 5 years though.
  8. i hope the plastic goes on as easy as it came of. Just waiting for it to be delivered. Is it best to use an air dryer the Hot air gun felt a little fiace. So intresting how they are made I have a mark 9 spitfire kit I bought with this plane with all the Plans. I think it’s going to be to big a job for me looks really complicated. I think I will sell it on we will see. Ron
  9. Thank you Ben it’s the same in Model Engineering but I find by listening you can learn a lot. Building my steam Engine was the same but I found it so useful. I know absalutly nothing about RC planes but look forward to learning. Many Thanks Ron
