  1. Thanks guys. Beb- i used contest grade 3/32 from balsacabin, i think they class anything under 21g as contest (for this size sheet) so you can get a 15g sheet or a 20g sheet. I was just pulling sheets of a pile so thats prob where the weight difference is. Nigel- yes they're very light, the fuz with wing tube, canopy and rudder will be about 1050g, tails about 75g each and the wings 465g. So about 1665g ish for bare airframe uncovered. Havent got my converter so what 3 3/4 lb? Martyn- i will laterally balance the whole thing when its finished, hopefully just moving the lipos sideways will sort it! They weigh about 1200g Dan
  2. Few pics of finishing the wings, pretty pleased how they've come out. Nice and straight and light. Only snag is ones a bit heavier than the other, not quite sure how that happened but hey.. They're 225g and 245g ready to cover.
  3. Yes Nigel as simple as that. It makes the wings and tail very easy to build. I started the tail tonight and got some pics, also some pics of the wings. I'll try and get them up soon
  4. Hi Gary, the fuz is bang on 2m, you could even go 2.02m as you get a 1% measuring tolerance. The wings are never usually 2m, the norm is about 1750mm to 1800mm. Your right there is a wing tip to go on. I didnt double up the ribs, i just sanded the end of the aileron to take some 3/32" balsa and give a 1mm gap. I've finished 1 wing now, going to do the other tonight i'll take some pics. Dan
  5. Unfortunately i damaged my phone with a load of pics on, especially the sheeting part. Before i did sheet it though, i couldnt resist getting a look with the wings on the fuz..
  6. Im aiming for about 4750g including lipos so its not too far off Start of the wing cradle and basic wing structure
  7. Yes Nigel when its all interlocking you can pretty much assemble it without glue to check it all fits and is square, then you can run round with thin cyano.
  8. Pretty much there with the fuselage. With not much else to go on the fuz it comes in at 912g, pretty happy with that.
  9. Hi Nigel i use Turbocad 18, bought it off ebay a few years ago. Not the most recent one but works for me.
