The ASG-32 Motor Glider has maidened. I think it went pretty well, what do you think?
-
I've added ailerons to my Guillow's Spitfire, model 403, to see if it would fly successfully following just rudder / elevator failure. The result is a nice to fly Spitfire built in the traditional way.

This video is the last part of the MinimumRC ASG-32 scaled up build for your viewing pleasure, it's been challenging at times but I think she's just about ready for the maiden, give the video a thumb's up if you enjoy it, thanks, Cliff.

Here's Part 2 of the enlargement build of the little MinimumRC glider, it's long but there are chapter jumps in the description. Thanks for watching, feel free to comment as well.

A fun project enlarging my MinimumRC ASG-32 Motor Glider, it was originally intended to be all foam board but the balsa called out to me from the corner of the workshop so now it's just the flying surfaces that are foamboard, it's been an interesting challenge so far.

Fascinating look at a talented modeller's workshop

Brilliant, we're all the same the World over aren't we, if one was to visit Mr Goto you'd be able to understand everything he said despite not being able to understand everything he said! -
Whilst waiting for the right time to attempt a fourth try at flying the Pfalz E1 at radio control I thought I would give her a go round-the-pole, the result was most satisfying.
-
Finally my Guillow's Spitfire gets some serious air under her wings much to the consternation of the local gull population. She's gone from free-flight rubber, to three channel rc and finally to rc round-the-pole. She may get back to rc proper when I get round to fitting ailerons!

The Maiden Flight of the MinimumRC ASG-32 Motor Glider has been completed and I've got to say what a cracking little flyer she is, here's the video:

My latest build is the 650mm span MinimumRC ASG-32 motor glider, it has the little pop-up motor behind the trailing edge which works beautifully. This video is really for anybody who wants to build one, it's pretty long but there are chapter links in the description to save time watching bits you don't need. The maiden flight has already happened and I've got to say she's a lovely little flyer and the follow up video will be along just as quickly as I can edit it, thanks.

Thanks JD8, I'm confident of a successful outcome, thanks for the comment.

Hi Martin, the cg was just a tad in front of the plan suggestion, it is now a couple of tads in front, I've reduced the throws and will hand launch on much less throttle, hopefully over long grass.
-
It has been suggested that the tail surfaces are a tad on the small side Frank but the design has flown successfully in the past. If all else fails I can always experiment with card extensions

The Pfalz E1 has enjoyed her second maiden, when I say 'enjoyed', well ... you decide!
-
Glitch? Working now as you know, thanks for your comment Stephen.
-
She nearly bought it but for a little bit of nose weight!
-
Thanks Jon, I'm going to re-upload it.

Here's the long-awaited Maiden of my Kamco Kavalier

Here's the maiden flight for my MinimumRC Macchi M5 quick-build model, she flew really well considering the wind.

MZ24 Throttle kill on signal loss Set Up?
Cliff 1959 replied to Cliff 1959's topic in Other Radio Brands
Sorted Frank, thanks (club rules). Thanks Denis Graupner more complex!! -
How do I set up the throttle to cut on Tx signal loss on the MZ24. I've set up a safety throttle cut off switch but that's not the same thing. Any ideas welcome?

Pfalz E1 maidened today, I got away with a tail-heavy model but only just. https://youtu.be/mxHb1RrArTA

Part 4 of my Pfalz E1 build shows the tissue covering going on, I really like the way it came out, you can't beat the look and feel of tissue! https://youtu.be/kJ2HECI1Qws
