  1. I just ordered 3 from H.King.... they look ok and any reviews I've read are all good comments. £20 for 3 from H.King so time will tell. Thanks Jamie
  2. Hi , I was wondering if anyone had come across one of these before ?? Might try one but thought I'd ask in case someone had a story to tell . **LINK** Jamie
  3. Cymaz, thank you very much for your link. Its exactly what I want. Bookmarked it. Thanks Jamie
  4. Hi Ultymate, There is going to be an aluminium tube running through just behind the main spars. 1 meter long. The wings will have 2 bolting points on each wing. Leading edge and trailing edge through Ply into the fuselage. Jamie
  5. Hi everyone, I've been looking at the controls side of the fuselage and could do with some advice on the push rods. I'd like to use some carbon fiber push rods on the elevator servos. There will be 2 servos and the rods will only be about 8 inches long. I already have 2mm rods x2 of them. Are these rods quite strong for a big 1/3rd scale plane or should I just play it safe and go down the steel route ?? jamie
  6. Kind of rich. I got a drawing online and I scaled it up from a 55 inch model to 103 inches I think.( 2.6 meters.) Jamie
  7. Now I've just glued the fin in place, wow this is big lol. Fin needs a profile shaped to it but you get the idea
  8. Fitted some fillets last night for the ply to glue to for a platform for the 500cc petrol tank. I've actually extended these fillets now back further to allow for more ply to install all my radio gear on. Rudder servo is going up front just below the cockpit but thats all. The elevator servo will be at the rear of the fuselage. Throttle right up front 6 inches back from the bulk head Jamie
  9. Here is a picture of the belly panel removed. I've fitted a couple of triangular ply parts for the bolt to fix the hatch on. Ill drill a couple of holes and fit some T bolts
  10. More spars added. Its ready for sheeting here apart from a wee bit of sanding . Jamie
  11. This is the lower belly part under way. This will be removable for bolting the wings on and also access to avionics bay
  12. More work done today on my 1/3rd scale Sukhoi. This thing is starting to look big now ! And it's curves are starting to take shape to. Getting a wee bit excited now lol F9 , F6 and F7 are now 100% but I have ran out of lite ply now. Need to make an order tonight for the next stage.
  13. Yep, very nice. Whats the wingspan etc. Yep wheels look poor. Maybe they lowered the wheel spec and upped the hinge spec ... Keep updating the pictures as you go please .. jamie   Edited By Pete B - Moderator on 16/11/2013 22:32:32
  14. That is an option cymaz, The top and bottom will definitely be sheeted but the sides at the rear I could maybe omit the sheeting. If I do that and add cap strips I'll need to make sure I'm not undermining the structures integrity. It does show fully sheeted on the plan. I'll build the tail surfaces and sheet them first and check out the weight side of things for CoG etc. Its that big that the tail plane and wings are fully removable but the fin will be built as part of the fuselage. Jamie
