  1. Arrived nice and early, not read it yet but looks like a good spread of stuff, will let you know when I've read it.
  2. I know he's already been mentioned but Vernon Kay is a flyer . He mentioned flying today on his radio 1 show and had quite a discussion about flying and crashing(at least he can afford new ones) even going on to mention freq problems and getting 2.4Ghz and the BMFA on prime time radio. Cant be bad for the sport.
  3. Gravity you just can't beat it!!! No matter how hard you try. Take offs are optional landings ARE compulsory!!
  4. Quarterly would do, it's better than nothing. And its a a way to stop my wife asking "where is Bertie?"
  5. Come on David why no more Bertie? I'd rather have BB than the photos, and the glossary thing that started then stopeed befor it finished. Do an online poll for suggestions, if you must get rid of him. My wife even reads BB, normally before I get a look at the mag.
  6. Why kill of Bretie he's harmless fun. It's at back of the mag if you don't like it don't read it!If he has to go don't put those pictures back what a waste of space, you started a glossary a few years back and the stoped after about 3 runs find somthing to do with it please. I for one would happally see Bertie stay, why not take an on-line vote or somthing? your voting for a fovorite plane so why not this.
  7. I subscribe and got mine one the 17th. and my WHSmiths even had some on the 18th. must just be luck of the draw.
  8. OK so its starting to go onto slope stuff not that i have a problem with them but worst model ever  has to be the Ripmax xclaim. What an absolute pig to make and took so much tweeking to fly ok it just was'nt worth it. I've built spad's (those plastic drain pipe things) with more succsess and fun as well as a lot chaeper.
  9. Yes you should subscribe! Sorry you did ask.
  10. Brilliant!! a nice selection of stuff covered. good to see the reviews on the tech stuff and glues, it good to be kept up to date with new products not just models. And I for 1 like the reviews of the so called "toy stuff" at the end of the day we read this mag because we like flying (and building) they are harmless and great fun. If the mag was one review of an acrobatic model after another it would be very dull. Glad to see Bertie's back long may he remain being UN-PC in a very PC world!!!!!!!!! Keep up the good work! PS- good to see the editor is working hard for his readers he started this thread at 6:30 AM
  11.  Just had a look at the servos they are not in cased, and had jumped of there gears so just a case of pushing them back together and securing with a tiny(and I do mean tiny) drop of cyno and all seams to have worked ok. Thanks again Eric for the advice.
  12. Thanks I'll have a look sound obvious now you mention it. I've been flying for 7 years and never had a servo fail (just lucky I guess). they must be making them better these days. If you do any indoor flying these little minimums are a blast you get every thing for £65 including a 2.4GHz TX, Li-Po flight battery and charger and of course little 3 channel Cessna. And they fly really well. last indoor session we had about 15 of these flying at once in a gym. brilliant fun.
  13. Does any one  know how to fix a stalled servo or disconnected one on a kyosho minimum cessna. It's the rudder one so need it as the sports hall isn't that long and don't want to keep hitting the wall. It sound like its still working but  there is no movement of the rudder, if its not stalled but become disconnected how can i preform surgery on it with out destroying it? Please any ideas to help fix it as its the best fun I've had indoor flying in ages.
  14. 1. Buccaneer (edf) 2. English Electric  Lightning  (edf) 3. P-38 lightning  (elec /or 2x .25's)
  15. Has any one else tried these new(ish) kyosho minimums. They are absolutely fantastic fun spent a good 4 hours on Saturday night flying, the only that spoilt my evening was having to stop and charge the batteries!!!  If you have not tried one you must and as they are on 2.4Ghz you and a big group can all have a go at once. we had 16 up at once just briliant. And at £65 for every thing not to bad ether.
  16. if i don't win i supose i'll have to buy 1. for my kid honest!!!!!
