I've not heard of a Premier piper Cub kit, is this a manufacturer or are you just talking generically about a premier kit ie Sig, Balsa USa etc ? Dave

FB3 EarlyBird has beaten me to it , I was going to say that you will be able to use your 3s lipo,s. I would suggest that what ever set up you try make sure you test it with a Watt meter first so as not to exceed the ratings of the Motor and ESC. If you have not got a watt meter , they can be purchased very cheaply online. varying the prop size can have a massive influence on the amount of current drawn, with a bit of tweaking you will obtain the perfect setup. As always I am no expert but just simply go by the ratings of components and the watts per pound rule. I am not sure what my Novice produces but can check when home (im back at work again this morning) I think I was getting around 130 Watts per pound. As I said when i get the chance I will give you the exact weight of the model and the power figures. Dave -

FB3 What you have posted looks to me that with a 2 cell you can use a 10x 7 prop and with a 4 cell you can use a 8x4. But it seems strange to me to have a 2 cell with that size of motor!. -

FB3 I can only measure the length, but cant do that till later, You can get a good idea by looking at the wing pic. The aileron is made from trailing edge stock. Dave -

With any aircraft it is all about throttle management, I am sure if had periods of gliding my 5 mins could easily turn into 10. -

The ailerons are not mentioned on the plan neither is the reduced dihedral. Basically I just did what I think looked correct so can't give you a dimension for dihedral. -

HAs promised I have uploaded photos of my Novice e . It flies very well on a 3s 2500 mah pack for just under 5 mins. I will post one here but the rest can be viewed on my photo album entitled strangely enough Novice.
