  1. Thanks all, it has been most helpful. I purchased the Realight7.5 today and first impressions are excellent. Best regards. SM.
  2. Many thanks for this, Pheo ox is looking good. Cheers Stuart
  3. Thanks for this, do you use a laptop and can you link to a large screen?
  4. I am looking for guidance please. I am a B cert flyer for fixed wing and would like to get my skills and stick time up to what it was 15 years ago after a long break. I now want to fly helis as well. Can anyone advise which SIM is best. The Realflight 7.5 best package about £130 with tranny has slt and this means you can WiFi to a large Tele screen, my Futaba8J does not have slt so would not work with the £80 no tyranny option, on the large screen. On the other hand the Pheonix at £99 comes with no tyranny but I do have a DX6i, this system seems to be Spectrum based. Please advise, I could just use my 17 inch laptop screen but think the extra money for the best Realflight is worth it if the actual simulator is as good as the best Pheonix
  5. Finally flying with 2200mm 3 cell lipo, all the power you need and 3.8v per cell left after 8 minute flight. Please excuse the inflight thumbs up image, she is there in the distance
  6. My model has a central bungee, at the end of the day all of this adds to the experience, these latest images are superb, thank you
  7. Yes this is the model which I bought this week, but the seller can't remember a cannot find the plan or cowl mould but has them somewhere. Thanks for everybody's help. Best regards Stuart
  8. The plot thickens, I am going to put some servos and receiver in over the coming days and hope to start the engine. A.more ideas welcome. Best regards Stuart
  9. Thank you, I believe this is a Taylorcraft built from a plan but don,t know which and as you probably know there is a natural link between Taylorcraft, Piper and Auster. I really wanted to identify the plan and more importantly the engine. Thanks once again
  10. Here is a shot of the tail wing span 108inches 1/4 scale, any ideas who drew the plan please.
  11. I hope someone will be able to identify the engine, I was told 28cc but wouldn't be sure about that?
  12. I will have a go tomorrow and try to identify the engine and take some images. If I don't come back on by Tuesday it's because I have to have some eye surgery, so out for at least a week.
  13. I have just purchased a 108 inch span Taylocraft, it has a petrol engine believed by the seller (who never flew this or did much other than decide the tubular aileron mech wasn't much use). The model has a mould made 2 part cowl. That's all I have now and hope someone may recognise the an maker or shed any light. I am lead to believe the petrol engine is 28 cc. Any ideas on anything please post. Best regards Stuart Marsden
  14. Many thanks, I have now linked all of this up, I am yet to test fly but there is definitely enough on 3 cells Lipo. McMaster project has also flown exceptionally well with new brushless setup, after 15 minute flights there is still 4 volts left in each cell. Thanks to all of you, I will post again once the weather settles and the Long Cabin gets into the air once again.
  15. I started my RC flying life with a Super Sixty, it had an Enya35, but had aileron wing. Being young and brash, I soon moved on once I damaged it, I dumped it, I should have repaired it and kept it. I have returned after a 10 year break and at 63, I am relieved to find d that I can still fly well enough to teach others again . I long to have a Super Sixty with ballerina again and feel electric conversion could be a good way to go. Experiences please and advice on how, if they have done so, flight setups. Best regards Stuart Marsden
  16. Many thanks Pat, I am in tomorrow, so will file, print off and get the Long Cabin back in the air. Cheers Stuart
