Has anyone built and flown one of these models?

Hi Steven.
I built the Cloud Clipper earlier this year.
It was a very easy to build kit for anyone with some experience of balsa bashing!
All the materials where of good quality and sufficient quantity.
I chose the electric version, I added a doubler to the firewall to get the motor further forward but it still needed lead in the nose to get the C of G correct.
I also used a 2200 4s lipo stood vertically behind the firewall.
I bought mine from Kings Lynn model shop but I see Century UK have them listed.
Hope this helps, Bill

Thanks guys for the info, on further inspection it appears that I have both the glider and the E version.
There is no apparent difference in the parts but without a plan to refer to it is difficult to say.
My preference would be to build the E version.

I have been given two old Balsa cabin Sonata kits, sadly there are no plans with either.
Does anyone have a copy of the plan that I could buy/borrow or copy.

Thanks very much.
Have you flown your Fournier yet?
Bill.

I have started to build a Fournier from the free plan and Sarik laser cut parts I wanted to ask Pete what type of wire he used for the the nose leg.
The Sarik parts go together very well , are very accurate and of good quality balsa.

Thats great, I am taking my Chipmunk for an outing this afternoon.
All the best Bill.

I have built one of Stans Chipmunk kits it all very straightforward for any one with experience of traditional kits.
The Tucano follows the same build process.
If you log onto Stans site you can see a copy of the plan and instructions which I found very helpful

I have bought one of these I will be starting the build soon. It appears to be a well thought out kit with an option for i/c or electric.
Usual laser cut parts and a forest of balsa strip.
I will post some photos when there is something on the board.

Model is almost ready to cover.
I have looked at the photos in the RCM&E and you seem to have a pretty decent pilot in your model can you tell me where you got him from?

I never met the man, but what a loss to aeromodelling.
Such creative genius is hard to find these days.
Condolences to his family and friends.

I am making four as suggested 2 x 1/4 wide 2 x 3/16.
The wider ones will support the centre section and the others the front and rear sections.
The narrow ones will be chamfered to accommodate the angle of the screens.

It is covered in grey film from Hobbyking, the painted parts of the nacelles are from a Tamiya rattle can.
The decals are from the E Flite A10 they can be obtained as a spare part.
Pilot is from Motion RC
Hope this helps,
Bill
