Hi Dave, I would consider a very close offer.
I could probably use the pilot in my Precedent Stampe when I get round to building that.
In the case of the Moth I decided to put it on the market pending my own decision as to where in the queue for building it should be placed.
Regards,
Jim B

Yes Dave.

Sorry about that - £600.

This is an unstarted complete kit, no parts other than the cowl which now contains accessories have been removed from the box.
I have owned it since bought in local model shop.
Details are shown on the various pictures.
Accessories include one Flair 'Johnnie' pilot, 2 x complete instrument panels, one metal venturi (full size has two I believe) and various model mag reviews.
Can be collected from Chesterfield in Derbyshire or can deliver / meet within a reasonable distance. I don't want to risk trying to post this kit.
£675

It seems I didn't put enough info on this item.
The kit is still currently on sale, specs:
VQ Models SBD-5 Dauntless 60.6" Wingspan (macgregor.co.uk)
The kits currently on sale in the UK sell for around £230 but do not include the VQ electric retracts VQARE16 which sell seperately for around £100.
This kit has factory fitted electric retracts, as per the picture of the box lid.
Whilst I am prepared to travel to meet or deliver that will only be after a completed sale, I regret I am not prepared to travel simply for a viewing of this untouched and undamaged, as new kit but anyone who would like to come here to see it will be welcome.
The current price will definitely not be reduced further and is for cash. 'Proper' Paypal (for both our protection) is fine but plus 3%, ie £206 total.

Still available.
Now £275.
Collection preferred but prepared to travel reasonable distance to deliver or meet.

I mean the Chipmunk 60 arf. I've wrote to numerous model shops throughout the UK and Europe and I got the same response from everyone telling me that the model is discontinued and that it won't be coming back.
No use to you really but I've got an unstarted one that I intend to complete if I live long enough. I take it you're not in the UK.

Is there anywhere Jim I could still buy the Bkackhorse Chipmunk 64 inch span version?
Do you mean the manual or the kit?

Reduced to £275 but without servos.

Based on the original Cleveland Viking designed in the 1940s by Carl Goldberg, Bob Boucher of Astro Flight inc had it scaled up to 62" to suit his company's Astro 05 brushed motor but these days is commonly fitted with small brushless motors with 2S packs.
Would also suit a small 4 stroke.
This box is compact and well packed so could be posted, otherwise collection from Chesterfield S42 althoug I'm happy to travel a bit to deliver or meet.

That't the third different version of the manual I've seen!!! If I add all three together I almost get the full picture. Mine doesn't have those X mounted oleos though, mine are on a z shaped torque bar. I think mine is probably one of the much older versions of the artf.
That's the manual for the 85" span model, much of the content of the thread seems to relate to the 64" version.

Toto
Yes, Chesterfield in Derbyshire.
I'm prepared to travel to deliver, within reason.
Whereabouts are you?

Sold this morning about a minute after the ad was posted.

1160 cm wingspan for .40 to .48 two strokes or (looks) easy electric conversion.
Kit completely untouched other than for pictures.
Includes full set of 'Flame' decals bought from Pyramid around the same time. I believe these are useable, i've carried out a gentle test of the 'Rapier' one and found it easy to move to the transfer surface.
Asking price includes fast courier and £85 transit insurance.
I usually refuse to post but in my opinion this one is a very good candidate for that.
Could also be collected from Chesterfield S42 for £85.

🙂 Hi Toto, I put it out for sale after realising that the landing gear might not thrive too well on the rather long grass of our site but have since joined two more clubs which have much more suitable surfaces, so I'll be putting it together and flying it.
