That's interesting; confirms my own feelings that it's far too twitchy straight out the box.

It was a CAP 232 mate.
As for the flying? Well, we all have our lucky days eh! Truth is, of course, the model flies and handles beautifully. Unfortunately I only got the one flight that day as I stripped the gears on the cheap retract servo when I inadvertently switched on without lifting the model clear of the ground. When the servo sprung into life the wheel tried to semi-retract but couldn't! Anyway, the servo's replaced now so I'll give her another go this weekend. -
Hi Brian, you're not the first to ask for an Aresti diagram of the schedule so I'll see if we can get one knocked up. Good luck with the practice.

Maybe I'll ask him, the Pulse would be the perfect model.

Hi James, sorry for not responding, I really don't get as much time to chat to you chaps as I'd like. Anyway, your confusion regarding the exit of manoeuvre 6 is probably down to my sloppy writing of the schedule. Where I say, "Exit down-line and roll inverted" I mean to say exit the down-line by pulling through 90° to straight and level flight, then roll inverted. The idea is to ensure that you roll inverted before the model reaches the pilot line, i.e. when it's coming towards you. This is just a bit harder than rolling inverted when the model's either directly in front of you or, easier still, when it's just gone past! Having flown the length of your flightline inverted, you then pull into a half outside loop so as to gain the height for a downwind entry into the bunt. Does that clear thing up?
Hi Phil. Well, I guess a video would be okay, although don't forget I'm also trying to sharpen up my performance! Perhaps we'll shoot one when I've got the routine honed a little better? Yes, that's pa flying the Pulse. It's a cracking plane (I fly it myself when he not looking) and dad's a fine flyer, too - very smooth and very precise.

Hi John, did you use your model as a trainer? I'm interested to know what you thought of it when flown straight from the box? Personally, I think it's a bit of a handful for a beginner.

Hi Gaz, Paul's right. It sounds as if the gyro gain is too high. Tweak it down a fraction then try again. Should do the trick.
