As a complete newcomer to helicopters I intend to spend some considerable time on a simulator before entertaining buying a helicopter, I have been advised to buy a Realflight G6 Simulator - Mode 2 - Heli, would this be okay? Would I also be better replacing the Tx supplied with the simulator with a Spektrum DX6 G3
I have a MacBook Pro, if I install boot camp with Windows 10 will this suffice

I had the same problem but managed to gently bend 'contact A' and has been perfect ever since.
Phoenix state that an updated cable is on the cards and will replace the defective version, date not given for new version

Hi Ken
You were on 617 Squadron a little before me, I was with the squadron as an Instrument fitter at RAF Scampton 1958-1963 working on the Vulcans.

Thank you

Torben
Many thanks.
I have since bought the Mini Pred, I need a lot more simulator time and reading before attempting to fly.
I have unearthed a lot of info on the it and its US clone the Falcon 3D, pm me if you require details

Marginal was probably the wrong word.
What I was trying to infer was that when taking a charger to the field 11ozs is not a lot to get concerned about, the dimensions between the two are not a great deal.
I initially had a Bantam clone which I was unhappy with this was returned and exchanged for the B6.
Timbo
From what I can gather the clones do vary in accuracy, you were fortunate in the one you reviewed was OK

Terence
The difference it weight and size is marginal.
1. Imax 133x87x33mm weight 277g
2. Bantam 130x138x40 weight 600g (11oz difference)
-
I have had the Bantam for about 2 months, very impressive.
If you scan all the US forums you will see overwhelming support for the Bantam against all its many clones.
A couple of reviews for you to peruse.

I have searched the page where Andy Ellison's article is and there is no reference to 'prop selection guide' and no link where one can download
-
Can anyone tell me where I can find this downloadable guide, I can find the article by Andy Ellison that accompanies it
-
Its a pleasure

Many thanks for your advice.

Many thanks
What precautions would you take when flying?
The reason for the concern is that other ESC's I have will auto detect Lipo low voltage and cut off, the one factory fitted to Century Mini Pred/Falcon 3D does not appear to have this facility
