  1. I am to visit my Dad who has retired over in France... he belongs to very nice little flying club over there where I have been invited to go have a fly. So my question is does anyone know if you are allowed to take your transmitter in hand luggage? I have a 2.4 Futaba with Lipo battery and I am flying Ryan Air.

  2. Chris

When you screw the canopy on they go at the back of the cockpit on the inside agianst the back wall so the screws don't show.

They have the same angle as the cockpit back wall so a bit of cyno to hold them in place.... job done.

Flying mine again yesterday, 2nd outing and another 5 really enjoyable flights.

  3. Shes a sports hack so its not unlimited, she no 3D prop hanger, but with an APC13x8 prop on, when you open the taps she can eat the sky up quickly no matter which way you point her.

I would imagine getting that laser in will be a squeeze the cowl sits right at the end of the firewall, it doesn't have much wriggle room.

  4. I must have a very unusual kit then.

Have built it up and put an ASP 70 FS in it, standard 4.8 volt battery under the fuel tank up against the firewall. Only additional weight added was some extra epoxy around the firewall.....just incase, an aly spinner and I packed foam all around the fuel tank to stop it moving around. It came in smack on the advised C of G..... STRANGE!

Maiden flight required a couple of clicks of left trim that was it.

Spent all last weekend flying it around and shs is a great flyer no nasty habbits and the stall is fine.

One thing I have noted and would advise all to look at to avoid any nasty accidents. The captive press studs that the wing bolts screw into are VERY poor.... on my model, to the point where you could almost not see a propper thread. I have simply knocked these out and replaced with better quality M6 ones and new bolts.... Just check as you would not want your wing bolts coming loose or even worse pulling out mid flight!

  5. Help required on the motor selection on the E-Flite Mini Pulse, all my experiance thus far has been in I.C so I thought I would dip my toe in the world of electrickery.
So I have purchased an E-Flite Mini Pulse (very nice little plane), I have the XT 40 so it was an easy choice. Anyway the motor recommended is the 450 which is a very small motor, so could/should I be using the 480, the 480 I can see giving me a little future proof as it can be used on many more models, however I don't want something that will rip the wings off - although you do have a throttle stick.
Has anyone used both motors and what are your recommendations and feedback.
Help required for an electric newbie.
