    I remember seeing a while ago an article about an engine which was actually an electric motor. Anyone seen it as I have started doing some old timers and would like to try them as electric but they would not look right?

    New iron obtained and harmony restored but will carry on experimenting with old one. Teflon has already started to come off new one.

    Tried the high temp paint but it just wipes off so a failure will carry on experimenting. The problem I have with using it in its alloy state is the alloy appears to be coming off onto the yellow solartex I am currently covering with and marking it. I have not tried it as yet with solarfilm.

    Have ordered a new one but am going to experiment with some very high temperature exhaust paint and will post if it works or not

    I have tried with the sock but must admit I am not impressed as it does not glide the same especially with solartex, it may be ok with film though.

    The Teflon coating on my Irvine iron has come off so does anyone know if it can be recoated or does it mean buying a new one?

    I think some sort of spring arrangement may be best so it can move slightly but stay in the correct plane during flight. Will try to think something up. Also it appears I may need plenty of rudder movement.

    I am just putting the finishing touches to a Baronette and querying if the wing on the undercarriage is supposed to be fixed or floating. The plans and write up are vague so am hoping for advice from previous builders.

    Just finished building the Can-Doo but have not been able to get the canopy. Does anyone know if Vortex is still trading as I tried to call but the line was dead and emailed from their site but had no reply? Hope it flies as well as the EZE Twin as I love that one.

    Thank you for the info, I always balance the prop these days and cannot believe how far some are off balance, felt clunk ordered and will run a few more tankful's of petrol through with the wings attached to see if they really do soak up the vibration.

    No I am not using a felt clunk but did wonder if this would help.

    I have just finished my first project using a petrol engine and on running in I am seeing a lot of vibration in the fuel tank when less than full which appears to be allowing air to be drawn into the carb. Has anyone a solution to this or is this just happening whilst on the ground?

    Does anyone know where I can get boxes to transport models abroad,they would have to be 2 metres long for the wings and I have looked on the internet but not found any as yet. Cheers
