Hi all,i have just bought my first powered glider after many ic flights. its the j perkins pretty 1500 and i love it.what im wanting to know is how do you slow the glider down for landings as it comes in real fast.ive seen some stuff on crow braking and using flaps(i have neither set up)should i??and what is the difference in the 2?as far as i can see flaps go down and i understand why you need them but crow braking seems to be the opposite.can someone explain please. many thanks

Hi guys, this is maybe a silly question but can you get any sort of paint or the likes that you could for example paint or spray on to a spitfire that has a gloss finish to dull it down and give it more of a matt finish.

Where can i get a BAe hawk?
stuart macrory replied to stuart macrory's topic in Scale and Semi-Scale kits
thanks for the reply but it would be too heavy and it has to be a pusher jet. thanks anyway -
Hi all, does anyone have any idea where i can get a small bae hawk,i would really like balsa but foam would do as a last resort. It sounds an easy question to answer but i cant find one anywhere other than an ultrafly one(which they dont make any more, air frame only) The reason for this question is i need a home for the guts out of my multiplex funjet,im a bit sick looking at it and fancy flying somthing a bit more scale looking with the funjet performance. any help would be much appriciated or even a few suggestions on any other models keeping in mind the all up weight on a fun jet is 670g inc battery.

What can i build?
stuart macrory replied to stuart macrory's topic in Building from Traditional Kits and Plans
i will probably get laughed at for asking a silly question here but i am about to start the miss demeanor plan and was just wondering,if you take the wing ribs for example, how do you cut your 1st template??i was thinking of usuing carbon paper between the plan and the balsa sheet,i am sure this is wrong so could some one please correct me. -

had 3 good flights tonight it is now running very rich but ill keep it like this for a while and see how i get on

stuart macrory replied to stuart macrory's topic in Building from Traditional Kits and Plans
Thanks for the suggestion andy,i would like to build completley from scratch.do you not think this would be too hard to build?for a 1st timer.i like the look of miss demeanor in this months issue.what you think?dont get me wrong if i had the skills to build anything it would be the spit or the hurricane but i just assumed they would be too hard for me.
