The blades have zero pitch or a small amount of negative pitch, this is achieved with the thin shim under the trailing edge

Finally got my Whippiteer maiden'ed by AG expert pilot Rich Elliot with Rich Harris in attendance. Rich H flies the wrong mode to maiden it for me, or... maybe its me that flies the wrong mode? Quite uneventfull but great to see it go without any tweaks or mods.

Looking good Malcolm
Are you going to go with a cowl like Chris's?
The plan is to do a cowl, I've modelled one in CAD, just need to kick the 3D printer back in to action, and then decide if that's good enough to use or make a plug from it and Vac form from the print.

Yes, incidence packing on the blade underside to give a little bit of -negative incidence (if required)

God Bless you Tom, you have been and still are an inspiration. A true Gent who rekindled my interest in Autogyros and was never too busy to give help and advice.
My thoughts are with you and your family,

The Chiltern model flying Club is pleased to announce its Autogyro open Day will be held on Saturday 16th May 2015, (ie in just a couple of weeks time!), near to Luton.
We have several confirmed gyronuts attending already but welcome other interested pilots and modellers.
Last years event was a great success and we are hoping for another great day. (Have already booked a nice sunny day and slight wind)
Please message me for further details if you interested in attending.

Tony,
I don't think you can post pdf on here, only photos.
Tom emailed a set last night, so I've put them on my website.
They can be accessed at www.coolwind.co.uk in the "Download" section.
I hope this helps

Steve,
Thanks for the thanks!
On my Auto-G there is no side thrust, and about 5 degrees down thrust.
The manual has one diagram on the C of G position and it's not particularly clear but seem to indicate that it should be 220mm back from the spinner tip, which comes out at about the forward edge of the mast base. I don't remember measuring mine, I just put the battery in and flew it,

"There used to be (20 years ago) autogyro.com page for rc autogyros. It had also a technical page for basic setup, hang angles, balance, basic control movements, rotor loadings and so on. Maybe it was old information, but information gathered nicely in one place. I wonder if there is similar page nowadays?"
Jussi,
There is still access to autogyro.com through the "backup" of the internet via the wayback machine at:
autogyro.com
The interface is a little clunky and not every link or picture is guaranteed to work but 90% of the info is still there!!
