  1. Hi all, Im trying to update my pictures but every time I try to upload, this comes up "Sorry - the website has an error and the page you requested cannot be displayed at this time. Please try again later". Is there a problem there or is it my computer?, getting frustrated now lol.   Cheers, Craig.
  2. Hi all, Well it's been a while but I plan to get a bit done this time home. At the moment I'll be focusing on the fuz, the pilots are glued in, canopy painted, a little bit of detailing on the panel lines and a few other bits. I have my paint masks now for roundels etc.., along with air brush and will be doing some paintwork tonight. Pictures later on tonight or tomorrow. Next week I'll be going back to the wing, still a few bits to get for it so can't go far. I managed to drill a tap one 90% knuckle, but snapped the tap in the other. So next order will be 1x90% knuckle, two female adaptors and another drill and tap. Hope it works out, cheers.
  3. Problem solved, sort of. Went back to model shop today and exchanged it for a badger one, ?4 extra but even though it's more expensive I think it's a cheaper set up. I'm a bit annoyed though, the place I went is not as customer friendly as the place I like to go. After trouble shooting useing my propellant can and after loosing propellant from a fault in a product they sold I thought they would have offered me another tin at a discount or knocked off the ?4 extra. I know shops are struggling and I probably would have turned the offer down but it's the fact they don't offer. I find there only interested in helping or generally talking to you if you are spending alot of money. I don't think they realise that if they were a bit more friendly/ helpfull that I would be more inclined to spend more money. As shops go, they have a great set up, website and delivery service. There customer service, quite frankly is appalling, rant over lol. Cheers for the help, Craig.
  4. It is a good idea Andy but the fittings on the hose and gun are alot smaller, its a pain really. Cheers.
  5. Yeah popellant is expensive, spare wheel?, I'm sorry I don't understand, is this a pot you pump up and then connect the hose to?. Cheers for the help Andy.
  6. Hi 35mhz, I haven't tried submerging the brush yet but will do soon. It seems the leak is coming from in-between the fitting and hose blowing back onto my hand. I think I'll be going back to the shop today, cheers. P.S. Did you get my messages about the paint masks?.
  7. Hi all, I have just bought a revell standard class airbrush and I connected the airbrush to the hose and then the propellant. Well when I turned on the air it leaked from the fittings on the air brush (hose fittings). I then reversed the hose, ie.. Swapped the brush fitting to the regulator and vice a versa. I expected the fitting near the regulator to leak now, but yet again it was the airbrush fitting. There are no holes in the brush itself, what's going on?. Any help appreciated, Thanks Craig.
  8. Hi all, Thanks for the feedback on the decals, I have now found and supplier and will be getting some masks made up when I'm home. I need help with a few things and was hopeing someone can steer me in the right direction. I'm looking for a step by step guide (with pics) for creating panel line washes, gun/exhaust burns and general weathering. I have found alot of sources but mainly for plastic tanks/ small airfix kits etc.., are there any scale rc plane guides. Any help appreciated. Cheers all, Craig.
  9. Hi Alan, been looking for an airbrush and the cheapest I could find was around £20 with propellant. Hope this will do the trick, time will tell.   I have humbrol paint but was wondering, my black and white are already super thin to the point that when you brush them on they always need second/ third coats, would I still need to really thin it down?.   Cheers, Craig.
  10. Thanks Alan, no need to worry I've been looking at the masks on the website and they look great so I think I'll go with them. Just got to look for some small tons of spray paint now, spectrum ones cost a tenner a tin, but I don't need that big a tin. The searching continues lol. Thanks, Craig.
  11. Hi mystar, Gonna look now, thanks for the help. Cheers.
  12. Hi Peter thanks I'll check them out, as for vinyl round curves I thought as much. I had someone say you can do it with a hairdryer but for the stiffener I think it's a no go. Cheers.
  13. Thanks Ian, Had a look there and they look quite good. I'll have to buy and see I suppose, I just hope they conform to the starboard stiffener. Any other suggestions would be more than welcome. Cheers all.
  14. Hi all,   Im looking to buy some scale decals or rub on transfers for my Dehavilland Mosquito. Problem is I cant find a place to buy, they need to adhere to tight curves and some with complex shapes. I have heard from a friend that he used a hair drying to make them conform to the surface.   I need roundals, tail flashes and also writing, these need to be largish sizes as well (I cant state a size as im not at home at the moment).   Any help would be greatly appreciated.   Thanks,   Craig.

  16. Hi flyer24, I have the small version 70 glow. This needed no weight up front but I chose a heavier is engine, however I did find the CofG a pain, my battery is actually near the rudder servo because the plane is nose heavy. Have you took the CofG with the plane upside down?, it's much more accurate and easier. I had this in the past on another plane and simply added the weight, I then took off what I thought I could afford after the maiden and each flight after, ended up taking half the weight off doing in flight CofG tests. Hope this helps. Craig.
  17. Hi Adrian, It is the high speed needle, I'm hoping it's just the bedding in phase. I was originally looking at the 30cc model but couldn't really afford it and decided for the 70 class, was looking on global rc but they were changing and ended up buying from kings Lynn. I have no idea why global rc changed to what there selling now, I don't even look on thier site anymore, but that's just my opinion I'm sure others may like the new stock. The quality is amazing and it does the book as you said and because global rc arnt selling them no more I may buy another goldwing model from kings Lynn before they start getting shipped. Cheers, Craig.
  18. Hi all, Well the concerns I had wernt anything to worry about it turned out. Maidened her today and WOW, this plane is quite simply amazing!. By far the best thing ive flown it just flies as smooth as any thing, the plane just wants to do anything you want it to. My old instructor had first flight (bear in mind he has maidened nearly every plane that has come down the patch for the last 10 years) and he said it's the best plane he's flew. Sorry to go on but this plane is really going to help me expand my flying skills. A question though, my first few flights the engine was running fine, after that I had quite a bit of fiddling with the needle as it kept choking out on the way to full throttle, this is just still bedding in isn't it?. Cheers Craig.
  19. Hello again, I've mounted the engine but I have a few worries and queries. I have mounted engines all sorts of ways, top up, inverted diagonal etc..., this time I have mounted it sideways with the head sticking to one side. I am concerned about a few things which I was hoping someone could clear up. The weight of the engine will be mostly on one side, will this effect flight performance? Also the side the weight is on is also in the direction in which the prop turns, will this give an added torque roll effect?. I have cut the cowl and would prefer not to move the engine, will this really be an issue?. Cheers all.
  20. Hi flytillbroke, Thanks alot it does help, it does say in the manual that the sleeve is tapered now I can understand the full throttle. Can't say the neighbours will enjoy it though lol. Will contest 10 be good enough?, the oil content should be fine I would have thought. The nitro as well?, it can take more but I don't like giving them too much. Cheers, Craig.
  21. Hi Andy, strange cos my one is prolonged full throttle, I thought this was bad for a new engine. Non the less, I'll do it as stated in instructions. Hi phil, Sorry to hear you crashed it. I remember hearing about your undercarriage. I had the same situation with an edge 540, I replaced the undercarriage with a carbon copy which was perfect. That undercarriage was really weak though and this dura- aluminium seems pretty flexible, I shall give it a go. I think the main thing is with these planes which alot of people have to find out the hard way is that they need to be flown in well. After doing my edge undercarriage in I slowed the speed right down, kept the power on at just above idle and flew her in with little touches of flair, once the wheels had made contact I took the power off and they greased in after that. Even after all that hard work reteaching myself good approaches etc... I still crashed her due to loss of signal. I'd love to get another but haven't seen any shops that sell em now (kyosho edge 540 50 class). I'll let you know how it goes. Cheers guys.
  22. Hi Ben, Thanks for the feedback, I love the plane, quality is amazing, best ARTF I've ever bought. However, instructions look like they have been made by a young child on an etcher scetcher, truly terrible. I'm quite miffed by the tuning of the engine, it's the first time I've had an engine where its told you to open the throttle wide open in the early stages and adjust with the high speed needle. Bit worried about this to be honest. Hardware pack is excellent as well, the only thing I would improve is the undercarriage but I'll see how she holds up at the field. Cheers all.
  23. Hi all, Well I have had a new plane and engine bought for me. It's a goldwing Sbach 342 70 3d and the engine is a os65ax. I wish to use the plane to break me into 3d flying. I was looking at the instructions for tuning the engine and there a little different to what I'm used to. The largest prop in the range was a 14,6. I was thinking of useing a 14,4 wide apc. However could someone offer me some advice on tuning this engine, I don't think you should tune with the largest prop to begin with. Also, has anyone got this plane or the larger variants and could you offer an insight into how it flies etc... Any feedback appreciated, cheers all.
