John Bunting
Lots of gatekeeper butterflies in my garden, in Surrey, in the past week or two, including one with its starboard rear wing completely missing. Still flying perfectly well. Anyone fancy flying a biplane with one lower wing removed?
nasa_steve
thatll be because is fly by wire and the butterfly knows the wing is missing and is able to compensate for it............. bet you couldnt do it unless you were in the plane? John Bunting
Two caterpillars see a butterfly overhead, and one says, "You'll never get me up in one of those things!"
Gemma Jane
I don't believe in Butterflies, current aerodynamic theory is inadequate for evaluating large-amplitude flapping in low aspect ratio wings, so if I see one, I just look away. sparks59
I happen to like bumble bees, that's why I built Vic Smeed's Popsie! sparks
Big Bandit
I like watching moths in the shed (probably just escaped from my wallet ) (I'll get it in before anyone else does ). Probably landed on my soldering iron 100's of times, it's just that I have it plugged in when I'm in the shed. Chris.
