ROB WOOD
Hi All Although am building a free flight glider it has an Auto Rudder which is released when tow-line is released. The plan only shows a basic full rudder shift with no adjustment. What im hoping to do is find a diagram/info to make an adjuster that will enable me to make adjustments to the rudder a degree at a time poss by means of a fixed small bolt with nuts for adjustments. Thanks Rob
Marc Humphries
Some sort of set up like this will work. I guess the adjusters will sit on the fuselage (or a small cross piece mounted on the fuselage). In the past i've used the nylon bolt to cut a thread in a piece of firm balsa - remove the bolt then drip some cyano onto the thread to form a harder surface. ROB WOOD
Thanks Marc Just picked up your message. The fusalage is a glass fibre tube but looking at your photo i will make a small wire saddle and nylon nut n bolt. Thanks
Marc Humphries
Glass fibre tube fuz - takes me back. Is it a Ronytube? Built a few A1, F1A and HLGs with these tubes. Post a picture - may be of interest to some members who have never sampled the delights of auto-rudders and KSB DT timers.
