Steve Taylor Posted September 14, 2010 Share Posted September 14, 2010 Hi I used to have a Giant Zlin back in the late 70s flying with a Merco 61 it was great fun and would have made a fantastic low wing trainer. At the Nats swop meet i could not believe my luck there was a Giant Zlin for sale - and yes another one for my hanger. But what happened to this manufacturer? I know at the time it was a very economical way to get into large models and I think they did a large Pitts Special. Skyways Models then brought out a Zlin 50 with a GRP fuz and that seemed to be more popular. Skyways are now owened by Mason models who seem to be reintroducing some of the range.
