A new Electronic Ignition System

Dear Sir, I have a zenoa 62cc engine on my Tug, Please could you tell me if your Electronic Ignition System would fit this and work, your help would be a blessing for my poor finger that keeps getting a bash from the prop kicking back, C.Francis

The RCME ran a circuit for a home made capacitor discharge ign circuit and i made one a few yrs ago

and i still use it and it works perfect,most of the bits  the came out of an old tele the pick up

(thats the bit at the front that is fastend to the engine waiting for the magnet to pass it) came out

of a scrap car distributor the magnet was cut off and silver soldered to a ring that could be adjusted

for advance or retard of corse you can fit 2 of these and connect them to a micro switch  operated by the throttle linkage to give you retarded ign for a smooth tick over and once you open the throttle you have

advanced ign i have this in my Sea Fury and that is powered by a 62cc converted chain saw engine
